I'd like to see a stat on how many Fremantle Dockers players have been suspended in the WAFL. I remember last year, Anthony Moribito bumped a guy with his head over the ball, monday night the WAFL found him guilty and offered him 2 weeks, Tuesday Ross Lyon thought there wasn't much in it, and then the next day he was found without a case to answer for.

Just this weekend, Tendai Muzungu got reported for a suspected spear tackle. Now I haven't seen the incident, but I hear he was fined $50.

Is this part of the alignment system?

Yes I raised the same question on the Subiaco thread earlier to ask if anyone had seen the incident. According to one Subiaco supporter (BC) it was a sling tackle where Mzungu dumped Kyle Halligan head first into the ground. BC thought it was dangerous and unnecessary but luckily there was no harm done and Halligan was able to play on, unlike the East Fremantle player who was tackled in a similar way by Ricky Cary a few weeks back. Even so the penalty does seem a trifle soft given the damage that this tackle could have done and that Cary got 2 weeks for his transgression.
In answer to your first question, the only Freo player I can remember being suspended by the WAFL tribunal was Colin Sylvia earlier this year but there may have been others I can't recall.

And Freo probably asked for Sylvia to be suspended to strengthen the case to shift him on

The WAFL tribunal make the AFL's MRP & tribunal look competent!
How on earth can you give one bloke a 3 week suspension reduced to 2 weeks for no previous record for a spear tackle and then another who just happens to be on Fremantle's list found guilty of the same offence and given a $50 fine?
These clowns and their cronies at the WAFC have turned the comp into a complete and utter farce!

In the Colts game SD V PEEL a Swans player was thrown head first into the ground and was judged holding the ball. The umpire then had to hold up play to allow him to be assisted from the ground as he could not stand on his own accord.

Go figure.

Sylvia got a couple of weeks last year for an off the ball incident with Brett Mahoney from Subi. I can't remember too many others though.

good to see that particular incident didn't result in SD losing the game 42.... .....has been know to happen to you boys quite a fair bit over the last few years

Yep and they can break jaws and BECAUSE OF LACK OF EVIDENCE dismissed.
Gee the broken jaw just happened... Shaw certainly got outed with his injury

Oh well the good news is WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND the AFL player concerned is out for the season.. A little taste of his own medicine.
