How's your son going this year Astro. Have heard Sweet and Maldenis back from Vic and very keen to pull on the blue and black next year. It's good to turn ten to fifteen reserves over per year Astro and bring your colts through in my opinion.

What needs to happen very soon is that East Perth need to dump this alignment scam, Eagles to form their own reserves team, Peel to change it's name to Fremantle dockers reserves and these two clubs cannot participate in any WAFL finals against the 8 traditional clubs, this needs to happen soon...basically go back to the original model that was proposed.

falcon that sounds fair enough,,but the talent pool will be skinny as , wafl will like sunday league.

100% agree. Back to 8 zones, colts/reserves become 8 team comps.

We should put pressure on our own presidents to demand this change.

I reckon beags and dorks form one team between them...I'd pay to see that.

Was it not the presidents that put the final nails in by agreeing to extra financial support and a limited cap for the other two? Would have thought the time for them to stand there ground has past. They agreed to the handout and were fully aware as to what they were selling off by accepting, now its time to deal with the consequences it brings.

If you want to make a statement walk away. Hand them an empty stadium to play the GF in.

Will happily sit at suburban grounds taking in Ammo games drinking reasonably priced beverages until the issue is fixed.

Wals Dog they were presented with a fait accompli; there was no room to negotiate other than to try to get a LITTLE more money. The G7 clubs did not want the host club alignment and they don't want stad-alone teams.

By the way for those who advocate a stand-alone team why do you want to stuff up more competitions which is the natural consequence of having stand-alone teams. The WA domiciled AFL clubs will not have enough players to fill the teams and therefore will need to raid other competitions to fill the team.

I will only attend the GF if there is at least one Swans' team playing in a GF; otherwise, I won't be there.

first and foremost Larry - I overhead the conversation take place away from any east perth supporters, the conversation took place in a Subi Café with a number of other aligned players. Off course Larry they will tell that to your face, they are media trained mate! Let's hope you don't highjack this thread with stupid questions.

I also overhead them talking about the up coming finals of which a few of them where very very keen to play. There was also a running joke about 1 of them who doesn't like the alignment at all - who has actually tried get of playing with EP.

I think all clubs were negligible from the start where they should of fought for 2 stand alone clubs (1 wrapped with Peel) and more money - how could you not consider an approach from a club let alone 5 (remember that there was 5) (I believe the proposal from West Perth was very very impressive and compelling but distance was a major factor for the eagles).

so in essence my stance on the alignment oops partnership - what can you do! cant change it, no point whinging about it, I worry about what's on the field and this stuff is just a little entertainment!

with regards to the players and clubs I would prefer not to name them, its not fair to either the clubs involved, its supporters and the players themselves........Sorry!
