Now that golden archers, Maccas is sponsoring FFC wlll the morons at the WAFC start beefing up the chat with ABC TV. C7 was never serious, time to amp up aunty and ensure tax dollars spent well.

I would much prefer the ABC -- I am unsure why the Commission wondered off into the world of channel 7. I mean the AFL clubs are always on about how much subsidy they provide to the WAFL, you would have thought the Commission had enough money. Anyway, maybe I will be left in peace to watch the football on Saturday afternoons.

Some of the times suggested to play games in the survey put out by the commission were ridiculous. I do give the Commission credit for the survey itself.

Hopefully whoever gets the rights they provide a more even sharing of games, this is the break down of the 21 rounds this year - poor Perth, wooden spooners here too.

If anyone involved in this whole process had any brains, they would have ensured these crucial ABCTV telecasts by demanding the ABC get the funding they need by both major WA AFL clubs. That should have been the first thing on their list when these hundreds of thousands of dollars were getting thrown around.

For heavens sake we have 2 clubs alone getting $450,000 each per year. Why the heck couldn't a negotiation have taken place to "help" fund the biggest (and only) promotional tool the competition has, WHEN WE HAD THE CHANCE!!!

I am seriously going to miss the weekly ABC coverage - it's just been a part of the weeks when I can't get to see games live

The no ads , the (former - it seems to have disappeared this year) interstate wrap up , the half-time articles/interviews

Not sure what to expect from the new broadcaster in honesty although I have suspicions

There may be no Wafl broadcasts in 2015 if the latest report is to be believed! Apparently silly 7 have pulled out because the sponsors fell over. But negotiations are still on-going from my understanding!? If it was such a good deal, we wouldn't be having this discussion but the figures didn't seem to add up.
ABC tv have always done an excellent Wafl broadcast but have indicated for quite some time their wish to stop. All programming decisions are made in Sydney and not in the state offices.

Have gazed into the crystal ball and in round 22, (Sat 23 Aug) abc tv will be televising the East Fremantle playing Swan Districts match.

It just makes me wonder how the WAFC survive with a azy call like this. I have spoken to a senior Club officals at Perth and EP and asked them to raise the issue once again with WAFC. Both clubs were not saying nice things about Walton or Sautner on TV rights.About the only issue the two clubs did agree on.
