Thought I would continue on with this topic FOR WHAT GOOD IT DOES

WAFL ONLINE finally put the Silvagni result up.
Shit it was the last one? They must of taken it to the Supreme court? :(

Result still the same.. Reprimand. 91.3 commentators didnt see it that way but they must be blind? Dont think so.
Once again we have favouritism that has has been shown over a few years now right down to breaking jaws.

Wouldnt be surprised if the guy who got the Get out of jail card plays For Dockers this week...

As far as I am concerned the WAFC/WAFL are totally unethical and they are Morally corrupt,Dishonest. They have breached any trust the WAFL supporters have given them.

Disappointing and I am a Freo supporter.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Absolute joke.
Deliberate charge into Tropiano's back well after he had taken the mark. Lucky not to have caused serious injury. Gutless act.

I didnt see it of course but the 91.3 call team went on about it for awhile
Comments like why would he do such a blatant reportable act when he could be up for selections for Fremantle.
He is gone for at least a week as well after the mark
Stupid thing to do!!Etc etc etc...

Now we look at the stats and see Silvagni had 11 disposals and Tropiano had 27 maybe Silvagni was pissed off and beaten on the day and frustrated.. Sounds like it.

Did any Perth supporters see it? Must of because apparently late and deliberate.

It comes down to WHO WATCHES THE WATCHERS?? HA I know the AFL

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Who watches the watchmen?", the phrase has other idiomatic translations and adaptations such as "Who will watch the watch-guards?" In modern usage, it is frequently associated with the political philosophy of Plato and the problem of political corruption

There has been a lot of comment about Craig Wulf in another thrad and why wasn't he reported for a the 'hit' on another player. Equally why was the player who laid the late hit him reported or the player in last weeks game who kicked Paul Johnson when he was running down the wing.

Swings and round abouts folks. The Tibunal and reporting of players has always been a seriously big bone of contention. We will never agree and so have to agree to disagree.

What is the worrying thing for me is that when clearly a player is struck unlawfully like late hits into the back of a marking player, a swinging arm in a pack and it is seen then why is it not reported. Seems to me that players from ALL SIDES know they can get away with some stuff the cos the umpires don't want to go through the motions.

Then the tribunal throws a out a case even when the players pleads guilty.

I did not see the Geappen thing but Swoop has always been a mouthy bloke and really a lot of fun to watch and see the reactions from other players but in no way is he a 'dirty' player. He just plays the game to win and is a tough player.

Grump it beggars belief that a player can plead guilty and is found not guilty by the tribunal. As to the Swoop incident it was down the other end so I can't comment on that specific incident; but given the fact that he was clearly being held in the forward line when attempting to get a loose ball, down the other end, and no free kick was paid I can understand if the frustration of Worobec and Pitchers umpiring got the better of him.

The plead of guilty says it all.

As for Silvagni that was a joke, the bump was so late that if he was catching a train he could have caught the next one.

Tropiano is a courageous player but when marking a player must have some confidence he's not going to be run over.

Silvagni is a taller and bulkier player who has been training AFL style for years.

Vision on Freo's own camera, obviously not available for evidence?

Friggin joke.

I am over the WAFL.
This subject can expand into the laws of the game being different for AFL players as well.
As a former umpire I cannot fathom how, an umpire can look at an infringement (usually by an AFL player), see it and deliberately decide to ignore it.
This does not seem to happen when it is the AFL player being infringed.
It is mind bogling.
