for mine

Bazza Campbell
TI
Noel Carter
Maurice Rioli

Admire, but not idolise.. anyone to pull on the black and white.

I Remember I quite liked watching Blackaby, Melrose, Holmes, Ugle, Beasley, langsford and others of the time.

I guess in away David Ogg by default as he was the sports master at school, and was a current black duck during a very dark time in footy when the Eagles came to prominence.

Graham Melrose phoned for my Dad to ask if he'd come down to Basso for a motivational speech. I remembering going to get Dad and saying "hey dad, there's a bloke on the phone - reckons he's Graham Melrose". - turned out it was.

Ultimately Swans got done that day, but Melrose gave the old fella a couple of Swans junior supporter bags with hats, cards, badges. The tin badge I still have today.

As a young kid I idolised Big Mac. The best ruckman anywhere in his time. Never played a game of VFL but is in the AFL Hall of Fame.
Saw him in his last game 1955 Grand Final when he won one of his three Simpson Medals.

As far as opposition players go, two players stick in my mind for the reason of totally dominating a game against us, TI one game in 1981 i think it was & snuffy a game in the early eightys, only Feathers racking up 100 kicks in one game compares.
