Good evening all.

Had the pleasure of speaking with one of our beloved commissioners today. I'm not going to name him here as I have a good relationship with him on an external level away from footy so please don't ask me to. I basically gave him a piece of my mind and to his credit he answered openly & honestly but getting to my point here now....after this conversation...I have absolutely no belief that the WAFL competition will remain viable in its current state. These commissioners are being completely dictated to by the 2 AFL clubs and they have not one shred of power whatsoever. It's shut up or we will shut u up which i can only assume is what club presidents are being told to do. Its a trickle feeder system....a welfare system, enough to keep a starving comp alive whilst the high & mighty drink the champagne and eat the caviar that those on the welfare produce....what a bloody disgrace. Now I have had it explained to me first hand I really am in total disgust. The fear that the Eagles and to a lesser extent Dockers will cut off the money, as we all keep saying, is factual information. Talk about bloody blackmail. If the players won't strike, which won't happen unfortunately, I've now concluded that there is only one possible solution. I'm going to Gina. It's about time she put some of that money back in to this state anyway and will be a great PR exercise for her as she really does need to win some brownie points with the public again in WA. Taking our comp over will be like pocket money to her and it siphons money it will be a positive tax deduction for her albeit a small one. One which saves face for her lot not paying mining taxes and once she owns Fairfax she can tell the world about her good work. call it propaganda PR whatever, she could use some positive light. To the Eagles board, you greedy non ethical pr@!?ks, watch out you are on notice. i now realise u are just another WA organisation that allows the East Coast to rape our state for your own personal greed. Historically speaking I should not be surprised, it's what we so do best here. We'd sell our own mothers for profit if we could such is the elitism that is rife in our society. As some of you who have bothered to read this far down may have gathered I am now officially pissed off. There will be a revolution to follow.....and it starts tonight with this message. Consider this my mission statement.

Please note I do not speak on behalf of Gina or anyone else...these learned opinions are mine & mine alone....I am entitled to them and entitled to fight for my beliefs no matter what the cost...for you see footy is my religion so these are my religious beliefs until convinced otherwise.,...i speak on behalf of me & me alone....i am the Dirty Weekender and I want my WAFL to be pure again....this means war!!!

Brian Atkinson quit due to those same threats by the two pieces of AFL shit over here in the past weeks
The WAFC is concerned at the distaste from most quarters over the alignments and apparently has brought it up to both of the scumbags
You have just confirmed it

I turned my back on that maggot infested league nearly two years ago - and once this beautiful comp is dead , I will turn to the Rugby League for ever - at least they have a great State of Origin comp

My hatred for both these "WA" pieces of shit knows no bounds , absolute hatred that includes East farking Perf & that contrived from dogshit pile of refuse down in Crackpipesville

Just be aware that VaGina is a WCE supporter I think

The irony is that the Commission owns the licences to the two Victorian sides. This means that it has the power to dissolve the two clubs, at least in theory. The issue of the licence, I think, is the real reason the commission crawls to the two AFL clubs; in short, they are trying to prevent the two clubs supporting a move by the AFL to buy the licences. The crunch will come if the Victorians do finely run football officially in WA, because the WAFL will matter not in Melbourne. In fact, the sport will be re-named AFLWA, as the Victorians insist in the minor football states, to demonstrate their control. Once this happens, each club should put a motion to members calling for their club's resignation from the WAFL and set about establishing a new local league. We will be poorer, but on the positive side, we will be freer of the Eagles sickness. In addition, the new league should have no affiliation with the AFL whatsoever -- the AFL has no legal or constitutional right to a monopoly over the sport in each individual state be reminded of the fact.

For my part, I will be following the cricket and soccer

Some very good posts there on this topic. Be under no illusion who runs and funds football in this state. I think your on the money when you mention a go it alone state comp will be the result. This will obviously be self funded and run more like an amateur third tier competition. What the AFL brings in for a second tier could be an under twenty one or younger competition.

Although the WAFC is a farce and almost powerless, under no circumstances should they be allowed to sell the licences back to the AFL. That would be tantamount to issuing the WAFL's death sentence and then executing same in one fell swoop.
