Well I missed the broadcast but if true looks like Trevor Williams will see the season out and we will see what happens at the end of the year!

Had to happen. Unfortunately the seasons gone. Hopefully there is more good news to come!

Sad news but inevitable. Perth were so close in so many games and gave up the lead a couple of times... Amazing game football and how a couple of games can make the difference.

Sorry to hear that Damien. I believe the players let you down consistently at crucial times in the game. I have heard supporters say you were not hard enough, I have heard supporters say you were to harsh dropping the likes of Stack. They wanted a head to roll and you are it.

You have been a great servant of the club and I imagine your family will enjoy your now less stressed life.

After some time away I hope you can come along to the club and enjoy the atmosphere.

Remember the club is not the players, the board, the coach or the CEO it is everyone involved and you have been involved more than most.

Your composure in trying circumstances has been amazing. I have little calm at the games and a headache for two days after.

Your right Cardy its never good for someone to loose their job but this had to happen. The wave of criticism of this team in particular the last couple of years and their game play meant someone had to go.

Not convinced on Trevor though! He has been there for two years himself as our forward coach and he may be just as responsible for our current position although only time will tell. If he can win some games and get the guys winning again he may be a chance next year but they must still go after outsiders IMO!

Pretty sure there is a long list of Perth coaches with similar record to McMahon, how many were sacked?. Some of you poor Perth diehards may know the answer

Theres only two things that are guaranteed when you take on the Perth coaching position Kirbs! Firstly the back doors always left unlocked and secondly you wont be needing any brasso!!

Williams will be Perth's 14th coach since Ken Armstrong. Not sure if any left of their own accord? Did Mal Brown get the arse?

got to give it to @PerthFC, they stick fat with their coaches. McMahon 1st sacked since Bob Miller in 1961. Won a flag 5 yrs later #wafl
