No coverage on abc radio again!!??

The WAFL have done nothing to get 990am back as a broadcaster. Yet another unprofessional attitude by those running this league. Losing 990 has left a huge hole. Not that the WAFL care much.

Yes it's rather comical. This 'supposedly important' season of the Wafl is largely ignored by many sections of the media. I too have been hanging out for news of when or if 990 will broadcast matches later in the season, next year or what!? Having the footy broadcast on the Perth FM stations is great if one lives in the metro area
Could hoist the big antenna way up in the air and could receive 990 and they used to perform an excellent broadcast. This week will be the 7th round abc radio has not broadcasted the footy!? Which is of detriment to the Competition, fans, and supporters. Which leaves a HUGE hole because there is no statewide coverage when abc radio is asleep.

ABC Radio have AFL commitments and do WAFL when there is no clash. Good on Sport FM for doing 2 games a round when they can.

What I find strange is on my Digitial radio I have to goto ABC Grandstand to listen to a AFL game or whatever yet on the normal ABC selection they have no football not even WAFL yet if I goto my Non Digitial radio it has the AFL game on their?

Sound like a strange setup.. With the amount of channels available on Digitial (eg the TV stations are an example where I can goto 90GEM to watch rugby and Channel 9 still has its regular programmes on the other digitial channel. I see some channels have up to 3 channels running at the same time with different programmes)

Now the question if why cant the ABC use one of their Radio channels to do the WAFL games?

Yeh I know it sounds confusing but basically in my house I have 3 ABC stations for football being ABC GRANDSTAND,ABC LOCAL and ABC on my MW station that still has various other programmes not related to sport?

Round 15 sees all the games to be played on the Saturday 5th of July with a start time of 1405.

East Fremantle v's Perth at East Fremantle Oval. No media broadcast whatsoever! This being a big game for both clubs I feel. The sharks would wish to keep the winning momentum going to consolidate in the top 4. Perth would like to put recent developments behind them and play strongly for the remaining fixtures. This will be an interesting match.

The other big game of the round being broadcast by 91.3 FM is West Perth and Swan Districts at the Arena. It's a big game for West Perth who need to keep closing the gap on the teams above and they can't afford to drop this match.
No abc radio coverage yet again!

Third game in a row Perth have had no radio or tv coverage. This is our 13th game coming up and we have been on tv once.

Apparently the West Perth against Subiaco match to be played at the Arena is the abc tv televised match. What a ripper of a game this will be.
