Great story in the West this morning outlining a meeting that some WA hall of fame legends such as Barry Cable, John Todd and Bill Walker are having with the WAFC tonight about the Alignment. This group has been meeting for a while and now has the opportunity to put its view to the WAFC. Surely they will take some notice of these guys who are all concerned about the 2 alignments and their impact on the WAFL competition. Lets hope so.....

What a pitiful club they are. The first half last Saturday they looked as good as East Perth but after half time their 16 AFL players obviously got sick of carrying the six spuds and gave up. Just remove them from the WAFL and end this joke.

ST.....I think you will find Clancee gave up after the first quarter mate.....18 possessions in the first followed by 7 possessions for the rest of the game.....no doubt if the fella comes up against his beloved Black Ducks, he will give up after the first 5 mins, as a silent protest of having to be made to wear the Peel jumper!!

Oh no Freezin, us black duck supporters are just happy that there are a few black duck legends without AFL ties going into bat! I'm sure Clancee would have been at the meeting if he was able to be.

I do hope the WAFC huncho's listened carefully to these wise men. they reflect not only there deeds but thousands of WAFL footy fans out here

Hope & pray something gets done. Not helping the cause is Peel being so pathetic. That will stack the commissions argument about domination. However most of us couldn't care less about Peel aligning with Freo, because Peel are so inept and have no traditional heritage, nobody cares. But East Perth is a different beast. That is the change I want. And before this proposed TV deal goes ahead with 7, we need to get this sorted, and therefore get an even 10 team comp without anymore byes.

We can salvage this. It can be done and it will lift the profile at the same time. I hope these guys can knock some sense in. We have no time left . It is now or never. Another year may just be enough to lay the headstone.

Good luck but nothing will change, I reckon Peel will improve a lot in the 2nd half of this season so all teams will need to be on guard especially at Mandurah.

Have been keeping an ear glued to the radio speaker thus far today but haven't heard a peep of news about the meeting.

I suspect that if they had a meeting with a brick wall it would be:

(i) more satisfying;
(ii) more productive; and
(iii) would have an audience more interested than trying to improve the viability of the WAFL

than with whom they are meeting.
