SA has crapped on us Admin wise since 1987, look at the way the dickeahds here rushed into the eagles and the indian pacific deal, they got royaly shafted by the VFL and ripped off by millions, at the same time the SANFL was sitting back counting its money and holding back in its own stadium at Footy Park.

Every step of the way they have crapped on WA, the Admin here are total halfwits.,

If the WAFL admin made some of the changes that the SANFL admin have made this forum would go into absolute meltdown. I mean Thursday night games? There are enough complaints about Friday night game let alone Thursday night game.

The WAFL admin hands are tied while they continue to listen to the people living in the past.

Collingwood and Essendon reserves drew 6000 on the weekend I see. Maybe it is a way of tapping into the big AFL market by naming the reserves team West Coast and Dockers as it looks like the supporters will follow them.

Yep with Bazza here 100% agree. BUT it cant be a Traditional Eight team being taken over. West Coast to form a new team. Leave East Perth alone.

Unbelievable! By their actions alone no one could possibly believe that the WAFC listens to the people living in the past. One wonders if they listen to anyone other than the Eagles and the Dockers. What we have seen over the last 25 years since the inception of the Eagles has been a gradual disintegration of grass roots football in Western Australia. We have seen the collapse of many country teams and highly competitive competitions such as the Sunday League, the South Suburban competition etc, as well as the demise of many junior football clubs at U/17 and U/15 level.

There are probably a myriad of reasons for the collapse of grassroots football in this state but in my view there has been an absence of leadership in working to address this over along period.

How can EP fold?.....are they not the most supported club outside the AFL?.......

We can keep the great things of the past and search for new things that might become great in the future.

It doesn't have to be just about the old or just about the new.

There are old things that are perfect why ruin them? But even those wonderful old things were new ideas once.

If you ask past and current members of the WAFC they will give you stats on the great jobs they have done, bigger participation levels, jun development, injected millions back into the game.

But Im with you as you say over all grass roots footy has been smashed, WAFL, Sunday Leagues, Country Leagues, and even Jun Clubs have or are dissaperaing. Even the Ams are in decline.

btw the AFL destroyed the mighty VFA as well.
