TOPIC:

Had a quick look through the fixtures in the paper this morning, would be interested in others views. A couple of observations

1. good to have a full fixture list on day 1 of the season and everyone plays at least 1 game in rounds 1 and 2, unlike the situation with East Fremantle last year

2. Does the season start too early though? March 16 given the probable temperatures at that stage

3. Great to see games on good friday and Anzac day, why not a stand alone game on Easter Monday ( Swans V Claremont)

4.Friday evening games are early in the season when it is warm, not in the middle of winter- good move.

5. No grand final replay till round 9 - should be earlier in the season

6. The WA Day Fremantle derby is on the Sunday this year, leaving the East Perth V West Perth game as a stand alone, not really sure about the wisdom of that one

Overall a better fixture list than last year IMO
