Interesting to see Jono Marsh in the state squad.....1 game v a weak WCER side and kicks 2 goals. Obviously a fan of Jono, but really? Think O'Reilly deserves a gig before Jono from EF.

Taj Schofield?...from reading the Subi posters match reports, the young fella is getting better....but is he state selection better? Surely Corey Byrne from Perth deserves a selection for simply keeping Perth's  midfield a float in their 0-3 start?

A plethora of WAFL mids, going to be a tight squeeze there.....WP Tyler Keitel obviously WA number 1 tall forward with SF Jimmy Miller for support and seemingly Jono Marsh.

No doubt injury will cull a few before the selectors cull the numbers themselves.....
 

Surely they pick the best team, Freezin- and Jono Marsh is streets ahead of O'Reilly.

Byrne has been a very good player for a while so surprised he's not in it. Always some selection surprises- I guess Schofield was on an AFL list but not sure he's delivering more than Harry Marsh or Tom Joyce. Is Schofield an inside midfielder?

Being in the squad will give Schofield a great experience and good for him, but there's no way he's a state representative and I can't understand why he was even chosen to be honest....he's not in the state's best 134 players let alone 34.  I'm sure he'll develop in time but he's not there yet.

U are on the money BC...how could they pick him after 3 games? He will be a good player for sure but this is totally incorrect.

One thing going for Taj is that he knows the SA players inside out, so maybe he's picked as a consultant rather than a player.  Hard to see him in final team unless he has a series of BOG's given the quality of mids running around this year particularly the Ferals group.
