Heartbreak for SD and to a lesser extent Cl....as the latter gets to fight another day.....two last kick finals is definitely what the WAFL needs.....looks like two more cracking finals next week.....great to see......never easy to lose a close one, especially one at the death....and also a final too.......well done to SD on a great season....

it’s a damn shame Swans couldn’t get the job done. Having Joondalup knocked out of the finals in all 3 grades woulda made my day. Hopefully Claremont can finish the decontamination next week

The umps helped you blokes out today and where were your four 10 point players today. 10 frees to 20 and your mob still couldn't get over the line.

Fantastic contest to watch on TV, ideal conditions, and the never say die attitude of WP was great, very long last quarter added to the drama, for some reason I always felt WP would end up coming out on top.

Not sure if Claremont Oval with its tiny capacity is really a great place to host the next final as it looked like WP had a big turn up and there is no AFL next weekend.

Well done to Joondy to come from behind and beat a very brave Swans outfit, first time in a while that Joondy have won a game without the umps help, 20 to 10 in a very even game is mind boggling, but it's usually the other way??

Should be a great weekend of footy next weekend clear air without the AFL circus, hopefully fine weather and some good crowds.

I assume the 2nd semi is Saturday and 1st semi Sunday. How does that work out the following weekend, do they play the prelim on a Saturday or Sunday. Sunday so both teams get a min 7 day break but that means a 6 day break to the GF?

Prelim will have to be on Sunday with Saturday being AFL Grand Final day.
 

OK so a 6 day break for the winner of the prelim while the 2nd semi winner gets a 2 week break!! The prelim will be at either Freo oval or Leederville so could have that on Saturday with a 2.10pm start, all over well before the AFL GF starts. Seems unfair on the prelim winner to have only a 6 day break.
