Caught this on The West Website thought it would of been of interest to you guys.
Didnt seem to be to much in it?

The field umpires in a WA Amateur Football League B-grade match last Saturday took the extraordinary step of abandoning the game because of spectator behaviour.

The match between Bull Creek Leeming and Willetton at Beasley Park in Leeming was stopped early in the third quarter after a spectator invaded the ground to remonstrate with a Bull Creek Leeming player.

The umpires called in the perplexed captains to explain why they were ending the game, which was awarded to Bull Creek Leeming, who were leading 12.8 to 6.1 at the time.

The match had been of a good standard and there appeared to be little friction between the teams, and disputes over umpiring decisions seemed to be no greater than normal.

The stunned players shook hands and mingled amiably for a few minutes after the field, boundary and goal umpires walked from the field.

The WAAFL is investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, Wesley Curtin and University are flying high after four rounds of the A-grade season.

Wesley Curtin have had a rollercoaster ride over the past few seasons, having been relegated to B-grade after the 2011 season but coming straight back up after winning B-grade last year.

They had three thumping wins to start the season before a nailbiter at home against North Beach last Saturday, winning 9.15 (69) to 10.6 (66).

Premiers of the past two years University also are unbeaten with a big percentage, though it could have been bigger if they had been more efficient in front of goals.

Uni have had scores of 9.19, 12.16, 12.21 and 13.23. The highest score kicked against them this season has been Whitford's 7.6 in round two.

Good promo for the WAAFL if you ask me. When would the West ever write an article otherwise!

Minor incident by the sound of all reports I have read, not what you want to see but seems the umpire may have over reacted slightly.
