Cockburn vs. Brentwood – Reserves
Brentwood won the 1st Quarter kicking 3 goals to 1. Pretty even in the Second, Brentwood 4 points up at half time. Brentwood opened the gap in the 3rd, were up by 20 at 3/4. The last quarter Cockburn couldn’t find a goal, scoring 4 -5 points, Brentwood found a couple more to come out 27 point up and get their first win for the season.

Cockburn vs. Brentwood – League
The clouds were coming in and half time onwards there was constant light rain making things pretty slippery. Brentwood came out and won the 1st quarter, about 5 goals to 1. 2nd and 3rd quarters were pretty even goal for goal, getting scrappier as the rain set in. Last quarter Brentwood run it out better and kicked away for the 7 goal win. Makes Brentwood 3 from 3.

Next week Cockburn play Jandakot @ Atwell Oval who also haven’t had a win and Brentwood are hosting Wembley @ Karoonda Park.

Good game all day - but unfortunately TA's kicked the last 7 I think to really blow out the margin.

Very tight competition this season and whilst we are 0-3 we have felt that we could have won all three. Just struggling to get people on the park with the Swamp Lands Injury Curse hitting our side hard this season (~15 unavailable through injury atm - and a couple that shouldn't be playing).

Looking forward to a great day at Atwell Oval on Saturday with locals, the Cobra's visiting. We'll have the bouncy castle out so hopefully they bring their families and stay around for our World Famous British Sausage 6-Patty Burger Challenge after the games

was a good day down at Davilak for the brentwood boys and also great for our colts to have a win against a 10 man bench!

League got off to a flyer to set up their day and managed to play the game on their terms for most of the day which was great.

Was a bit of comotion in the third quarter with one individual from the Cockburn bench carrying on and remonstrating with the brentwood bench, even when the cockburn coach tried to intervene he still carried on, eventually left the ground and also left his team with little on the bench. Cockburn were very appologetic and embarrassed, amazing how one individual can go about undoing all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes, either way we all stayed for a beer after and enjoyed the hospitality, also appreciated complimentary beers after the game, will reciprocate on the return leg!
