Kingsway V Gosnells

Colts
Kingsway had a handy lead going in at half time, up by about 7 goals, but to Gosnells credit the fought back and made it a really tight contest. Gossie got the final clearance with 10 seconds to go, but with the ball landing safely in what many forwards would call the hot spot, and the siren blowing the Roos ran away 6 point winners!

Reserves
Kingsway were in the lead most of the game and again Gossies fought back. With less than a minute to go the Roos kicked a goal to be 4 points up, knowing there wasn't much time left the Roos tried to flood, and failed. leaving Gossie boys unmarked, they made a pretty easy play, to get that goal back and end up winning by 2 points!

League
Tough match throughout. 1st quarter was goal for goal! with each team putting on 6 in the quarter! 2nd was a lot tighter, and at the main break Gossies lead by a point! The Roos outran Gossies in the third, putting on 6 goals to 1. The 4th quarter Gossies had a bit of a come back, piling on 4 quick ones in a row at one stage, but the Roos held on and ran out 4 goal winners.

Rood to get round 1 out of the way, and Round 2 sees Gossies have Cooly who had a nice win over OR and the Roos go up against Kingsley who are coming off a pretty big loss against Lynwood.

Wanneroo V Melville

Colts
Not much to say, Wanneroo beat a younger, smaller team by 100 points.

Reserves.
Quite a spirited game. Melville looked like running away with the game, but Wanneroo fought back just before half time, only to have 2 players yellow carded after a little scrap just on the siren. Melville quite a good reserves team ran out winners by a few goals.

League
Fairly good game of C grade football, with both teams looking to play finals this season it was always going to be tough football. Wanneroo was just in front by at least goals for most of the game and that's how it ended up. I think C grade might be a close one this season, good luck to all.

Lynwood v Kingsley

Kingsley colts were all class and belted Lynwood by lots. Lynwood clearly have work to do in this area.

Reserves was a good contest and the scoreboard didnt give a true reflection to the competetive nature of the game. Lynwood were able to score goals in groups at crucial moments that was probably the difference in the game. Both sides played real well and in the right spirit.

League saw Lynwood win their first game in C1. Again the score doesnt reflect the competetive nature of the game. Half way through the first quarter Kingsley was leading 1.2 to 1.1, then Lynwood banged on 8 unanswered goals to open a lead that they were able to then hold for the day. Again great game played in great spirits.

Cheers to the Kingsley boys for all hanging back and having a drink, we look forward to returning the favour at your ground in round 10.

Good luck to everyone in round 2

KickTheBall, if you are meaning the rumor of Neon being down at Gosnells, he didn't play, but from the clearances page, not sure how many of them played.

Kingsley seem to have pulled off an amazing feat over the weekend. Being outscored by 86 points and still managing to come away with the four points according to the current ladder on the WAAFL website.
