Safety Bay Stingers VS Roleystone Tigers
Gosnells Football Oval 5:00pm

Arguably the two best teams all year, fight it out for what will be the first premiership for either club. Strange time for a grand final but I doubt that will affect either team. The big ground will have to favor safety bay as Roleystone are use to playing on their tight home ground. Both teams shared one win a piece in the home and away season, with safety bay getting over the top of Roleystone last week to jump straight into the grand final. While Roleystone defeated bayswater this week to win their spot. The heartbreak of losing a grand final last year will spur on the stingers. This game can go either way depending what team can control the game and play their style of footy. It's gonna be a tight hard contest with every player throwing everything they have at the ball. I think safety bay less than a goal.

Grand Final
Roleystone V Safety Bay

Roleystone and the Stingers face off in the big one on Saturday. Roleystone got the job done in favourable conditions for them in the prelim against Bayswater. The game was played in two halves with the first half being even with Bayswaters well structured running style causing the Tigers some problems and Bayswater looked the better team going into the long break. When the heavens opened up in the second half Roleystones stronger bodies and tight confines saw them overrun Bayswter.

Gosnells Ovals is definitely going to favour Safety Bays faster and harder running midfielders and this will give the a massive edge over Roleystone. The Tigers will need Robbie Pearce and association medal runner up Abbott to play well. Both teams have solid forward lines and Roleystones tough defenders will have their hands full against the Stingers lively forward line. Safety Bay will need big games from John Oregiani, Scott Corbett, Lane Brown, Martin Carroll , Simon Lundy and Daniel Bateman to get the win and will have the space on the huge expanses of Gosnells Oval to run Roleystone off their feet. Both teams are looking for their first WAAFL flag though Roleystone won a few in the Sunday League and the WAFA..
Roleystone won't give in but Safety Bay will have too much run and pace on the huge Gosnells Oval and will get up in a close one.

Top two teams playing off in the grand final

ln the final last week while the rain held off bayswater were right in the game but the downpour in the second half definitely suited roleystone.

Have a feeling that this weeks fine weather will suit safety bay , even though it will still be a close game.

interestingly it pits the no1 team offensively vs the no1 team defensively
safety bay cant allow no 18 for roleystone to play loose across half back like they like him to.

I'll tip safety bay by 3 goals. should be a ripper contest

Eager to see a result as there is no news on the ammo's fb page either...
Either way it would be good to see both these sides put in a 2nd side into the WAAFL instead of trophy hunting in the lower grades! Pretty sure most other true 3rd grade clubs would agree.

Safety bay by 4 points
no trophy hunting would love a second team in the waafl but weve had to rebuild over the last 3 years

Congrats safetybay, cooby are in the same boat we would love to have more than 1 side but competing with cockburn lakes, cockburn cobras and jandakot jet all with in 10 mins of us its hard and maybe we are destined to stay we are but the trick is now safety is to keep the players after a flag as we lost half i reckon and slowly got a couple back threw the year!

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't both safety bay and bayswater both have 2 teams?
1 in the WAAFL and 1 in the MFL, which occasionally both play on Saturdays?
Happy to be corrected!

How many players in your squad Ross???....can't imagine how hard it must be financially to keep the club going with what I'm guessing is a squad of around 25 tops...kudos for keeping the club up & running & having some success
