Noranda beat basso??

Geez - do we need to call for a check of noranda's team sheet! Must have had some afl players rock up for a game!

Woweee, have a week of holidays and miss..... absolutely nothing! Noranda and Mossies Umpire still the two most fascinating things in C2???

Interesting to read the results - I believe Basso actually beat Noranda, albeit with less scoring shots?? Perhaps someone can confirm? and Warnbro won the battle of the most inconsistent teams in C2 by defeating CWP. Carlisle stamp their premiership favourtism by beating fellow Cougars, Canning Vale.

My write up this week is dedicated to the Carlisle faithful, who although lacking in an extended vocabulary,(all they seem to be able to pronounce is profanities) they made the day and atmosphere down at the Cougar Den an enjoyable one with their boundary line antics.... Great for amateur footy. Loves-A-Goal genuinely appreciated the banter!

Colts;
A DRAW - top side vs 7th... I rocked up excited to see the Carlisle Colts as I was fishing during the last match up and missed it. In the end, regardless of not seeing the Colts footy I came to expect after last season, I was able to witness a good game with both sides going hard and a kick after the siren to decide the game. Unfortunately for the young Carlisle player, he missed and the game was a draw... Kudos to both Colts sides on an entertaining display.

Reserves;
One way traffic as I would expect. An undermanned Canning Vale side facing the league leaders. Not much to report here - the scoreboard tells it all, and probably a fair reflection of the ladder positions. I am really interested to see the scores of the next Valley vs Carlisle Ressies game, as they're my pick for the GF. (Though Valley may have lost to Thornlie??? which would be a surprise to me)

League;
Top of the ladder clash, and perhaps a bit of a let down. Both sides would admit that the game was a little scrappy, perhaps a reflection of the pressure from both sides. Carlisle never really looked in danger, kicked the first two goals of the game and held a lead similar to that for the majority of the game. I believe both sides were a number of players short of their best outfits, which leaves the ledger at 1-1 going into the finals. Proud of the young Canning Vale side who played yesterday, 3 or 4 guys playing who would never have played a game with that sort of intensity.

Great to have a beer with a few old Kalgoorlie mates and also with the injured big FF from Carlisle who this fat boy has been trying to recruit for the up coming cricket season!!

Haha LAG good write up as always. Good game of footy to watch. And your right about our faithful fans never short of a word. Good little banter between the two sides. You be happy slotting that one right in front of us. To stick it back at us. Cheeky prick.
