Well only 3 weeks left in the regular season, at this stage MrM looks like he might be on holidays in late August and September as Wanneroo sit outside the top 5. Fear not my fellow OzFooty friends, MrM is committed to bringing you some finals scores and results. Things are still wide open this year so I'm expecting a big finals series. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though, let's focus on this week...so without further ado.

Maddington v North Fremantle @Harmony Fields
Last time they met
North Fremantle 11.14 (80) defeated Maddington 1.13 (19)

Well it's a very big game for Maddington here, still a hope to play finals but they have a massive 3 weeks ahead of them. They obviously need to win to play finals but also to avoid relegation. If they lose and lose by a lot it could mean bad news for the Maddington boys. North Freo just need to keep winning to secure top place and I'm sure they have there eyes firmly set on this weekend and not getting to far ahead of themselves. North Freo should get the job done here.

Wembley v Willetton @Henderson Park
Last time they met
Willetton 6.14 (50) defeated by Wembley 10.9 (69)

It's fair to say Wembley weren't expecting a loss last weekend and it definitely made a dent in their top 2 aspirations as finishing third you aren't guaranteed a home final so I'm sure Wembley would like a home final. They need to bounce back to form here and show they are the real deal. I said last week Willetton were just playing for pride and they came out and had a win, so good for them, hopefully they can still maintain that confidence. I am predicting Wembley might blow that new found confidence away though.

Kelmscott v Hamersley Carine @John Dunn Memorial MOTR
Last time they met
Hamersley Carine 12.12 (84) defeated Kelmscott 11.7 (73)

4th v 5th. A spot the finals on the line and a home final at that. Topped off with a loss for either side can have bad consequences. That's the reason I've awarded this game MrM's Match of the Round.
Kelmscott only need to win to ensure they can lock in 4th spot pushing them one game, possibly 2 games clear of 5th. A loss could mean they slip to as low as 6th, so it's make or break for them. Hamersley are exactly the same a win and they could be 4th a loss and they could be sitting 6th or lower (but they would need to be flogged). It's all on the line for both teams and I think it will be a good game. Kelmscott should be to good at home here.

Scarborough v Bullcreek Leeming @Millington Reserve
Last time they met
Bullcreek Leeming 3.7 (25) defeated by Scarborough 18.18 (126)

Scarborough breathed a huge sigh of relief when Wembley lost last weekend which gave them some room if they lost to hold on to second place. They will be out to win this weekend to ensure that happens, because anything can happen in football. Bullcreek need to win, it's as simple as that. Win and they can still avoid relegation, lose and it could be all over for them this season. I'm going to go with Bullcreek for a win with their backs against the wall.
Bullcreek by 2 goals

Wanneroo v Collegians @Wanneroo Showgrounds
Last time they met
Collegians 17.6 (108) defeated Wanneroo 9.9 (63)

Well Wanneroo are going along nicely at the moment just as they were last time they played Collegians until they went on a losing streak, if they are serious about playing finals they need to win here. A loss could mean playing finals could be all too much for them. Collegians are on the downward spiral, losing the last 5 games. With University classes starting back up I'm sure they might get a few boys back from vacation, that but they will need to win here as they are sitting in that dangerous near relegation zone. The atmosphere was great between these sides last time around so I'm expecting much of the same. Wanneroo to be to good at home.
Wanneroo by 3 goals

Good luck to all this weekend. For all those wondering how MrM is going finding a Mrs Mysterious, well I'm still looking, but that's just for now. At least I'm doing better than some of the other men around, who seem to talk like this when approaching women...take a look!
