Some things never change. Noranda poached 3 of our players (2 being the current and ex B&F) after they'd also merged with Bayswater to win the under 17's flag in 1997. I guess some things do taste good when tainted...

Poached players huh..... lol pretty sure you cant poach players that are happy playing where they are at their club ..... not sure you realize this but players leave clubs all the time..... and 1997..... geez I remember Noranda beating us in gf's in juniors in 1980's maybe I should be holding grudges and be accusing them of cheating..... geez there is some twats on this forum !

So Noranda played a player that was not on the team sheet and has had the game taken off them thats fair enough. .. justice has been done and everyone can get on with their lives tho I have no doubt that you all will find something else to have a dig about and yes we are a proud club which I am proud to be a pat of and always will be as anyone should be that pulls the jumper on each week..... Ouch...if I didn't know any better I'd think Godzilla was from another club posting stupid shit to make Noranda look bad...
I don't know if they received any other penalty but just losing the points from a game they probably would have lost anyway if they hadn't played rings ins ...doesn't seem like much of a penalty to me.
When you cheat you taint everything you have done in the past and everything you might achieve in the future.....Noranda will need to work hard to regain respect back from other clubs and
believing this is just something that most clubs do ...not something to get upset about...is not a good start.
This was not just a administrative error or an honest mistake.....it was deliberate and indicates sytematic and intentional cheating thru all levels of the club.
I think the WAAFL had a golden opportunity to really make a strong statement to the whole league about cheating.....probably not wanting to crush Noranda completely....it appears to have chosen not to.?
And that is why knuckleheads get to move on thinking they haven't really done anything that bad. "just part of footy" "been going on for years"

People, the WAAFL have made their decision, Noranda has been stripped of their points accept it and move on. Lets just focus on our own clubs and if you are lucky enough to have secured a finals berth, that should be your main priority. It is now up to Noranda's President and committee to regroup and work towards repairing the damage done to their reputation in season 2014. In the mean time, good luck to all finalists.
