Have heard that Beecboro can't get a committee and have folded. Their Facebook page says they only had 8 at the AGM so couldn't form a committee so they will hand the keys into the council.

Never good to see any club fold! Hopefully somthing can be done - merge??

More of this will happen over the next decade, there simply is way to many clubs in the WAAFL.

This is more about smaller clubs not having enough volunteers and it being left up to the same faces year in and year out to run the club. Same thing happened to me many years ago when we tried to merge with a nearby club. All the old members came out of the woodwork and it was voted down, they then disappeared again and the club folded a couple of years later.
