Yes had a look at the Goss..and you are right on SFL.
Looks like they have given up with the Spam over there :(

3 main headings for that section seems to be the go.
Lets hope the country guys dont want a separate heading for each zone!
E.G Avon,Central Wheatbelt,Central Kimberly,Central Midlands Coastal
Central Wheatbelt,CBH Eastern districts,East Kimberly,CBH Esperance and districts,Gascoyne,Goldfields,Great Northern,Great Southern,Lower Sth West
Mortlock,Newman,North Midlands, North Pilbara,Ongerup,Onshore cup,Peel, Ravensthorpe and districts, South West,Upper Great Southern, West Kimberly.

Think that covers them all (taken from Landmark series teams).
But then having said that dont know if these leagues have a chat page as such and have noticed the Country posters put a lot on the Goss (along with spammers :( )
I feel the Country guys would love to have a thread for their clubs for passing info on and chat. I love to read on how the WPFC seconds are going at Cervantes..

Always get down to a few Landmark games especially at EF oval each year.

Anyway look forward to what the Country people think and food for thought.

And once again all for a Amateurs topic as they have good input as well.
They could have a thread for each club as well but as I have said previously the site could become a bit Choked with all these sides listed.
As I have said I think the AFL clubs getting a seperate thread is a bit messy and The AFL clubs DO have chat boards already on other sites e.g Big Footy etc

Either way, happy to have made the jump from the spam site that once was FootyGoss.

Cardy, you can keep up with the Cervantes Cardinals. previously called Cervantes Royals, on a bonzer site run by Trevor Kelly at wafootyforum.yuku.com.
Its static with previous history of match results.
The amateurs thread on goss had ten times the input of the minor leagues. Probably 30 if you take into account the pages per topic.
As a dinosaur still following the WAFL the best page from goss for me was WAFL chat as it was a thread that those posting really gave good coverage to the topic reported.

Thanks Devon Leigh.. I thought Trevor had retired and the site was finished
WAFOOTYFORUM is a great site all round. I always went into the Tipping comp which was great fun. Have put it back on my bookmarks

Thanks for that it certainly covers the Country Leagues big time

So what are we doing?

Changing Senior Community Football heading back to Amateur & Country Leagues. with the sub headings:-

WAAFL is a given, and I think renaming it is what everyone wants.

As for the other categories...

Country Football?
Minor Leagues?
Amateur Leagues?

And moving WAWFL into this group?

Mike.

I suggest the following all under Main headings

WA Amateurs
Country Football
Community Football (this would cover womans and Mercantile? and Junior sub headings) is the Mercantile league still going?

I have pinched these Headings from Trevors WA Footy Forum and they seem to fit the bill

e.g Have a look at for the idea

wafootyforum.yuku.com/

If we could take a blend of Whitey and Cardy’s suggestions.

Under Main headings:
WA Amateurs
WA Country Leagues
Other WA Leagues

Everyone knows and calls the Amateurs as that. This keeps the heading numbers down and will better direct the first time poster or casual viewer to their area of interest.

Other WA Leagues.
The Mercantile became the Metropolitan Football League last year. It has supplied 8 clubs to the WAAFL over the years and will front up with 2 divisions in 2013.
Although some of its senior clubs are associated with WAFL clubs on a user basis the WAWFL is an autonomous organisation within the WAFC.
The Onshore Cup is an Association made up of teams from the South West.
The Spring competition in Perth has become a regular competitive feature.
Organised Indigenous carnivals occur between communities from the outlying areas.
