Okay,

Seems to be a little confusion regarding the use of the WAFC's titles for these comps.

What is everyone's general consensus when it comes to naming these categories?

We initially had them as WAAFL, but brought them into line with what the WAFC has been calling them.

I must profess not to be an expert with regards to the amateurs...

Thoughts and opinions?

It reckon it might be better to title it WAAFL or WA Amateurs Mike as there are now no other serious metro footy comps anymore with the old Sunday League gone ..and as the other boys have said before there are a helluva lot of posters on the footygoss amateurs section & they are all pretty parochial. Nearly as parochial as us Swans boys are or even freeze is to his Ressie boys!!

I agree call it WA Amateur League. I didn't realise community footy had us under thst title initially.

No worries appreciate the input so far... happy to do this, however I will let this run a few more days to let everyone have a say...

WAAFL for mine as posters for that comp will outnumber others outside the WAFL/AFL by 100 to 1...

Agree - needs to be WAAFL

There are 4 organisations under Senior Community Football - West Australian Amateur Football League – Country Football – Metropolitan Football League which was the old Mercantile Association - and Women’s Football.
Under the title – Senior Community Football – the headings - Country Football and the Metropolitan Football League are already listed.
With Mikes OK three things just need to happen;
Add another heading called Amateur Football.
Shift Women’s Football over to this title.
Place them alphabetically so as the Amateur League will be the first listed.
This will cover all the bases.

A change to Amateur League would be the go.
The Goss only has Country Leagues and Amatuer Leagues which covers them all.
It will become a bit choked on the site if there is a different heading for every minor league.
I personally think the AFL setup is a mess and AFL could of covered all AFL. Topics could be started by Club members within that title and used by different AFL clubs..
Sorry Devonleigh dont really agree with your changes.. It is getting bigger than Ben Hur. I say use the KISS method.

Well Cardy it’s about people putting their views to the moderator not each other so no apologies needed. Your info is wrong about the Goss as it also has/had SFL as a heading, in which the MFL postings went.
In keeping with the positive input regarding the KISS method lets have the title Senior Community Football with two headings being Amateurs and Minor Leagues. All postings regarding the Country, MFL and WAWFL just go in the minor leagues.

Would be best to keep it as WAAFL
