The Wanneroo Amateur Football Club (WAFC) is currently inviting applications for all Coaching positions across our Men’s grades for the 2024 season.

Incumbent coaches are encouraged to apply, but any new applicants will be considered.   After a season of mixed, yet promising results through all grades, our League Reserves and Colts find themselves in B Grade in the Perth Football League for season 2024, with our Thirds and Fourths Grade determined closer to the season.

WAFC are looking for the right candidates to lead our club on and off the field and extend the Club’s history in the Perth Football League and we will be seeking the right coach to not only uphold our club ethos, but also develop footballers as they continue on their football pathway. 

WAFC is in a sound financial position, offers excellent facilities and strong off-field support. The Club is driven to achieve success at all levels and to promote a strong culture of inclusiveness, community wellbeing and a high-level of football development.

We have strong links to WAFL Football with several players and coaches starting at WAFC continuing on to play or coach football at the higher level.
This is an excellent opportunity for Coaches wishing to establish and make their impact at a respected and high-quality amateur football club, but also an opportunity for a experienced coach to share their knowledge with our core group of players.

Successful applicants will play a key role in the clubs future, with strong leadership required at training, game day and club events as well as ensuring a club centred approach is the forefront for all ideas and plans.

Coaches will all need to assist in player retention, as well as recruitment, ensuring the best chance for the club to thrive in not only this coming season, but future seasons. Both playing and non play coaches are encouraged to apply.Remuneration will be discussed based on the candidate and coaching role.Applicants will need to demonstrate the following

• Hold a minimum current Level 1 AFL Coaching accreditation
• Have strong communication skills with the ability to be able to communicate with the playing group as well as support staff, club members and the Committee.
• Oversee the Football program and have sound structures for both training and match day aspects
