I thought the boys were a bit disappointing on the weekend. However on reflection I think they will learn a great deal from the loss. It will enhance our chances of going back to back.

Despite playing poorly we were still a chance to win in the last quarter. Yeah sure the margin blew out late but we'd put the cue in the rack after another free kick scabbi goal early in the last.

Maggots continue to screw us over this season. Free kick count 13 - 29 in scabbi's favour. Made it 12 from 16 games we've been on the wrong side of the free kick count this year.

Anyway onwards and upwards to the premiership.

Looking forward to 6,000-8,000 Peel supporters heading to Basso this Saturday for the 4th versus 3rd clash.

gee RD...that free kick count is terrible mate...surely that can't be right...hang on....that's not half as bad as last years GF where it was 19 to 6 in your favour and we got one free after qtr time. were the umpies instructed to give your blokes a leg up because a flag was important to the WAFC and for Peel to have some success as a new comer? not sure but it certainly looked that way.

Gday BC, I hope all is well for you. Now given the topic is lessons learnt.

You got given a football lesson in last years GF.........

...... and now I'll give you a maths lesson. 29-13 = 16. 19-6 = 13. ;)

All jokes aside, I don't think the umpires played a role (leg up) in us winning the Premiership last year or in Saturday's result although I have found myself a little more frustrated with the umps this year hence my check on how many free kick counts we had won.

Hey 42, reckon you've got 2 extra zeros in your estimate compared to the reality. No one down here likes going to basso or Joondalup.

Last time I was at Basso we got well beaten but my most vivid memory was the amount of swans supporters in trackies and thongs. Whoever sells that shit up there must be doing a roaring trade.

Im not sure if I'll make the road trip.

The maggots continue to screw you, gotta be joking!
Your blokes continue to whack blokes and get away with it.
On report and get off with a reprimand every time.

RD...23 points was hardly a footy lesson but your mob won and that's a fact of life. interesting to see Tim Kelly from Souths on tv tonight being interviewed on being invited to the national draft combine....here's a bloke in his electricians outfit at work as an apprentice doing his 8 to 10 hours then off to training, a quick meal then into bed no doubt...what were the Freo guys who'll play for Peel this weekend doing I wonder? probably a few recovery sessions early in the week, a review of last weekend with the assistant coaches, then a quick catch up with the medicos and sports science guys to make sure they're at their peak, then 5 training sessions followed by some community exposure...shit it must be tough being a professional athlete. ;-)

And there was your problem. The heat went on and the dockers players went missing and that is why you lost the game. A deplorable situation to have teams in the competition who are not interested in winning premiership points.

BC -I'm not sure what your point is. The Fremantle players that play for Peel were probably doing similar to Tim Kelly before they got drafted.

Tim Kelly will be doing similar to what the Fremantle players do now if he gets drafted.

It's hard to become a professional athlete. Many try but only a small percentage succeed. I hope Tim succeeds.
