You're probably right BC about Harold. Hard to see him getting many chances at Glory with the talent they have at their disposal. He has never been a player with a lot of tricks, fairly predictable what he's trying to do use his pace to catch out the opposition. Under the new Poppa regime you have to be able to control the ball and pass with precision.

Everyone has improved under Popovic we haven't really been given a chance to see if Harold has.

How did young Italiano go in I think his first opportunity this season with the stronger squad for depth we now have?
He showed a bit last year as a youngster.

He lacked a bit of touch and match fitness tbh BH which is understandable given the amount of footy he's played or lack thereof and was substituted in the second half from memory.

I think he got a couple of games early on off the bench BH but got injured. I assume he's been playing in the youth team. I think he's off to Germany at the end of the season. Not sure he's really earned it. Look at Danny De Silva went to Europe probably got shunted around several different clubs and leagues and can't break into the Sydney starting line-up. I think Italiano would be better served with another year or two in the A league under Poppa but I suppose you look at Chris Ikonomidis who apparently went to Italy as a 15 year old and is now one of the first picked to play for Australia.

Hard to tell a kid to knock back an opportunity to get into top European systems.

Big game this Friday night against Adelaide who should be a bit puffed after their epic encounter against Melbourne City on Sunday. Perth should have close to a full squad with Juande available but unfortunately Kilkenny in doubt with an ankle injury picked up at training. Hopefully he'll be ok as he's very important to team structure. Win this one and it'll be the GF at Optus the following weekend and reckon they'll get 50,000+....bring it on.

It's all set up beautifully for the Glory isn't it BC? Adelaide played 119 minutes to get the victory over City, that is a marathon in soccer terms and they come here off a 5 day break. My tip is Glory v's Victory for the GF and they are dangerous. Not sure about playing the Grand Final at Optus. If we get 50 - 60,000 there and we win it's been a roaring success but if we lose then the question will be asked, why wasn't it played at HBF Park where we play every other home game? That is of course, assuming we get there. Got to tick that box first.

Yep...everything you've said is on the money DD and agree, it's a tough call moving the GF to Optus if we make it. I wonder if the club gets the gate proceeds or Footy Australia? I hope the club gets a big chunk of it if they do get through so Sage can recover a bit of what he's forked out over the years. Adam Peacock and Mark Bosnich both tipped the GF to be between Glory and Victory on Fox last night. Should make a cracking game but I wouldn't discount Sydney FC making it through either.

I'm looking forward going along to the semi final, makes a good option with no WAFL.

I reckon they will struggle to fill Optus TBH.

Well....what a game that was. Perth through to the GF but only just. Full credit to Adelaide who just kept on coming and to decide the winner on a penalty shootout just heightened the drama. Well done Glory but think you'll need to be better against Victory or Sydney FC to win the whole shooting match next weekend.

I look forward to your match report Bazza.

Amazing penelty shootout.Adelaide had 3 chance to wrap it up.The Reds players will sleep well tonight. They also played a 120 minute game on Tuesday night. They dug amazingly deep to come back from 2-0 and 3-2 to level the game.
Sneakers was nervous during the penelty to shootout.
