I'm pretty sure the numbers on Mannus+Nauru are growing.Where they down to a few hundred after the US deal. Now pushing well over 2000 with air arrivals over staying there visas. When caught asking for assaylem and being sent to one of the two islands. And there's another 60,000 out there.

Apparently not, gtr.

Treat this as you like.

Australian government records show that no new asylum seekers have been transferred from Australia to PNG or Nauru since 2014. Instead, all asylum seekers trying to reach Australia by boat since that time have been turned back at sea or otherwise returned to their countries of origin.

I imagine those who arrive by air and claim asylum must go through the normal channels of assessment, in Oz. They are then either granted asylum, or shoved into immigration detention awaiting the outcome of any appeals, and then deportation.

Here we go, just in case you were sitting on the fence not sure if there was anything to worry about the new medivac bill here is further proof that should alarm you. Labor has stated if it wins government they will accept the NZ offer to resettle those in detention in NZ and we know what that means.

Once they get NZ citizenship they are free to come here and settle like any of our Kiwi friends which will be a clear backdoor ticket to Australia. It will just take a few more years to get here. Sit back and watch the boats come if enough numpties vote for Labor. For the record, the Scott Morrison government has rejected NZ's offer.

Oh! dear ........................... make what you like of this:

Almost 60% of voters support the recently passed medevac bill to more easily get critically ill people access to medical care, a new poll has revealed.

The poll, conducted on Thursday, also found majority support in the electorates of both Peter Dutton and Tony Abbott, and overwhelming support among undecided voters.

and

In Warringah (Abbott's seat) 57.3% of voters supported the bill, again with higher support among women and older people.

and

In Dickson (Dutton’s electorate) ....................... more than half of his constituents – 52.9% – supported it (the medevac bill,)
