The fact that Smith did not have the balls to do his own cheating is a measure of the bloke, wonderful batsman but a weak as piss spineless character who's reputation will be forever tainted.

Why are you all surprised? They have been cheating for years. They should get the book thrown at them but at the end of the day it will be a feather duster like they always do. This Series should be called off now and handed to South Africa but of course they won't do that for loss of $$$.

The Mintgate episode with du Plessis would have been a spur of the moment thing if it was deliberate at all. This was planned, premeditated and the leadership group fully complicit. I can't believe not one of them had the balls to stand up a say "no this is wrong" and shut it down before it even started.

Although unlikely to happen, the whole team should be sent home immediately!
Poor old CA official whose only just returned from South Africa, now finds himself travelling back there this morning.

My opinion of the Australian cricket team is well-known on this forum. Who thinks that Cam Bancroft came up with this idea?

Perhaps a line will be drawn in the sand an d the Australian cricket team will start behaving in an acceptable fashion from now on under a new captain et al.

And there may be an added bonus.

If Boofhead Lehmann is involved, it should mean he will be replaced as Coach. And hopefully for the sake of WA Cricket, they may replace him with the gnome, Langer.

IMO, anyway.

oto I fail to understand how that would improve the behaviour of the Australian cricket team.

The only positive of this is that this may be a line in the sand moment for this team to clean up its cultural problems. The cricket in this series has been totally overshadowed by behavioural issues on the part of both sides but it appears that it is always Australia that are involved in incidents. Ironical that Michael Clarke was on TV this morning expressing shock/horror, when it was on his watch that the culure of the team deteriorated and that has gone further under Smith obviously. It also hasn't helped having a loose cannon like Warner as vice captain either

Yes Swan 42, I and a few others on this forum who thought you may have been overreacting in terms of double standards in relation to Kyrois need to put our hands up and admit that you were correct.
