BTW Candace Warner almost committed suicide from the public humiliation of her private life, so this sledge from De Cock is very low, and I can see why Warner got angry.

One more minor transgression from Warner will see him suspended...he should thank his lucky stars it didn't happen this time given his record.

You still calling Tim Paine a liar after getting in front of the media and cameras , the umpires heard nothing worth reporting Warner about, nothing to do with the stump mikes he was charged from the confrontation with De Cock at the tea break.

Anyway good on Warner for standing up for his mrs I don't think any husband would stand for that,no doubt you're disappointed Warner got off.

I'm not calling Tim Paine anything...I'm saying the match referees decision is based on the best available information and he's hit Warner with a big fine for bringing the game into disrepute. If you are in a privileged position and know something the rest of us including the match referee doesn't then please enlighten us.

You do know that Warner was charged only for the stairwell incident , and Tim Paine verifies this by saying nothing personal was said by Warner on the oval, iI don't care that Warner had words with De Cock in the stairwell he was entitled to when the lowlife got personal about his wife,.

Do you think Warner should just let it slide like you obviously would have
Or had words with De Cock.

Warner needs to grow up and understand he's not bigger than the game. He's a great cricketer and good to watch but he's the Australian VC and with that comes responsibility.

Give it a break BC,Root was a real COCK making fun and a racial slur and he copped what he deserved.
Trott and the Poms were going to slam the Aussies with sledge. It back fired .
can see deKock fired up after being called a sook!!!!!!Yep a sook.
Ok Warner was firing shots, but when hasn't he.Since when have the Saffies been innocents!!!!!!
As I have said here before, Warner is dick there is no doubt, but some times it takes two to tango. It takes two to have an argument, unless you are like some blokes here.

Mate this guy wanted the boucer banned for safety reasons, but thought Peel calling the game off for safety reasons at Medibank not ok.

hahaha...the bobsey twins...heaven forbid we condemn an Australian sports star for stepping out of line when the ICC has done likewise. as for the bouncer...I see Sean Abbott has another notch on his belt...tell me any other sport in the world where it's legal to hurl a projectile at someone's head? as for FART, they called off the game so they could inject reserves into the WAFL a day after Freo had played at Subi...it should be pretty simple even for you.

Heaven forbid a bloke should stick up for his family, that would be a pretty simple thing to do even for you, or maybe not.

you and a/man have your opinions and I've got mine and the judgement of the independent match referee makes you both look silly but there you go..it isn't the first time and won't be the last you clowns look silly. I also hope Warner scores a ton in the second test but hopefully he'll pull his head in to all the other shit....and too is with 2 oo's.

Sooner be a twin with him than you BC.By the way do you originally come from England!!!Only asking.
Better to defend our players than to cut them down, like you and many others here seem to enjoy.
I could call you a sook , but that might upset you, as it did de Kock, and we wouldn't want that would we now!!!!!
And taking a cheap shot at Abbott is as low a dog act as you could possibly make.sewer rating I would say.

you two should get a room...

I am quite happy to stand by my view that Warner should have been suspended. The ICC saw the incident as serious enough to give him 3 demerit points but Warner is not just another player. He is the vice captain of the Australian Cricket team and apparently sets an example for other players. He has a rap sheet as long as your arm including the incidents with Joe Root, Sharma, Kholi, and ill considered comments in relation to Trott and AB De Villiers.
Yes he has been better in the last year or two but there is always the suspicion that an explosion is around the corner and it happened. Personal comments about family members have no place on a sporting field and if De Kock has made the comments that the Australians claim then he should be suspended as well. What Warner has done by his lack of self control is take the focus off De Kocks behaviour and put it on his own. He knows that he could have reported De Kock through official channels and channeled his anger in an appropriate manner. Tough Test cricket is about people like Markram for example overcoming all the sledging that Warner and the other Australians were throwing at him and scoring a century. He didnt have any issues with the sledging and used it as a motivator to perform. That to me is tough aggressive cricket, not the verbal histrionics that too many players indulge in.
Finally the idea that if any of us criticise an Australian, we are somehow not supporting the team is ludicrous. I like seeing Australia win but the integrity of the game itself is more important. Players should remember that they are guardians of the game and should treat it and their opponents with respect. You can still do this and play winning cricket at the same time
