Would hate to be a young sports girl nowadays - knowing you'll have to complete against men in the future, especially as this rubbish spills over into every other sport.
Im waiting for some grown up bloke with the "i identify as a child" mental disorder to have a crack as junior sports. Seems like the path we are headed down.

3 amazing swims in the pool today.Gave us a Gold, silver+ bronze.And our first individual woman's gold medal in the pool since Stephanie Rice Beijing 2012.Amazing swim by the Tasmanian teenager against Ledecky- one of the modern day greats.

Was looking at the medal count wondering what was going on with Russia.There banned from all international sports till the end of 2022.To much drug cheating going on.

gtrxuone i wasn't able to see the women's match but I saw some of the men's game against India.  The key to the success is scoring field goals and a good penalty corner conversion rate.  At this level there is a fine line between success and failure.  

My understanding is with respect to Russia they are able to compete under the Olympic flag but any reference to Russia is prohibited.

Great swim by Chalmers in the men's 4 x 100 freestyle relay....secured the bronze from an almost hopeless position.....the other three fellas should be buying Chalmers beers for the rest of his life.....Titmus overcoming Ledecky in the 400 freestyle was poetry in motion.....hopefully she can repeat it in the 200 tomorrow.....as for the ladies 4 x 100 freestyle relay.....geez they were good.....Touch wood Campbell senior can overcome her individual efforts from past Olympics and secure a well deserved gold...  

I see both female surfers are cactus, Ch 7 would be spewing they spent hours pumping them up days leading up to the events with dolly swimsuit pics and hoping the new surfing event would lure a new generation of viewers.

Skateboarding almost seems like it should be a junior olympics event, especially when the two Japanese gold medal winners on day three were both 13 or 14. 

The Russian athlete's are competing under the name ROC..Russian Olympic Committee.

How about Kaylee Mckeown saying " F$*$K yeah" to her family back in Australia on national TV after her gold medal. Isn't that one of the most classic Aussie things ever? A real change from the sanitized media interviews which we have become accustomed to from sports people

Ariarne Titmus is an absolute star in and out of the pool. An absolute brilliant swimmer but equally impressive out of the pool. She just seems so grounded. What a star.

6 gold isn't bad for a small nation to start with so far
