I’m a bit perplexed. When former Sydney Swan Elijah Taylor was found guilty and fined $5000 for assaulting his then gf there was an outcry from some, most notably a West Australian journalist who called for him to be banned indefinitely from playing football at ANY level. No one condones what he did but he was an immature 19 year old kid.
Yet ex Channel 7 employee Andrew O’Keefe has admitted kicking, punching, slapping and spitting on his former partner yet Channel 7 continues to show all pre recorded shows of The Chase until the very end when new host Larry Emdur’s pre recorded shows takes over. Don’t want to burn your hard earned money Kerry?
And Kerry Stokes continues to bank roll an ex serviceman’s legal defence who has been accused of very serious war crimes and domestic violence against an ex gf. Why aren’t women who work for Channel 7 walking out in droves and speaking out?
Or does it depend on who you are and how popular you are? Easy to go hard on the easy targets but go easy and let it slide hey if it’s a big name? The #MeToo movement has run out of steam has it?
