Pretty solid first 3 quaters. Used the footy quiet well and looked like a chance late in the 3rd.The late 3rd qtr goal by Subi looks like it really damaged Swans.Who couldn't use the last qtr breeze.Hampson ran out of puff late and so did Swans.Just had the feeling Subi had an extra gear which we seen in the last qtr.Swans appeared to get under the Subis players skin a bit today.Subi gave away a few undisciplined frees+ 50m penaltys.

Agree GTR, our players did drop their discipline which is unlike us, but a result of Swans manic pressure which nearly brought us undone if not for our better fittness.
if you guys bring that sort of pressure to most other teams you will win a lot more games. Notte was outstanding all day and George showed his class but ran out of puff like most of his team mates.

George didn’t run out of puff, ran out of support, Swans lacked an extra experienced midfielder and it was our younger blokes who couldn’t sustain the effort.
Hampson did well to keep playing after the weak effort from Litherland to clean him up without going for the ball, should get 2-3 weeks for that, another bloke cleaned up Wilson in a similar weak effort, jumping into blokes attempting to mark.
To beat Subi you need to be prepared to target their key mids in a similar way, they dish out plenty and swans of old wouldn’t have put up with that rubbish

MO fair comment re George, he was the best mid out here apart from Deluca. Agree re Litherland, wont be surprised if it's reviewed, didn't see the ump pull out the book.
Showed how well your boys got under a few of ours skins, so we need to show a bit more discipline and dont get sucked in. As i said a great effort by your guys.

I would have taken Litherland off had he not collected the player, truth be told. It is league football. In the old days,in some circles, MO, Swans were notorious for their rough play, but as we would all remember, they were also a bloody team.

SS the style of footy Swans played drained there tank at 3\4 time.Just had the feeling Subi didn't really jump into top gear to the last qtr.Not the usual Schofield ruthless performance.

gtr: you have to give credit SD, we fumblled quite a bit before three quarter time; from a Subi point of view, the concerning thing about that game, was that we fell two or three goals behind, and, yet, had 100 more possessions for the match. Which, is of course, why I stressed over on the Subi thread, during the game, that our forwards need to learn to lead.

Ark royal - it was a weak effort as he made no effort to contest the mark, doesn’t take any courage to jump into someone and bump them in the head, disappointing that no swans player went in and did the same to litherland or one of Subi’s prime movers, another bloke picked off Wilson in a similar move.
To beat Subi you need to get in first and get their good players, they are physical which is ok but swans shouldn’t have sat back and taken that rubbish
