It was in todays paper that Crowley is retiring and Bennell is moving to Melbourne.

It also stated that Riggio had signed for next season.

So Ames, Crowley, Bennell out, I'd assume Ellis as well.

No way Crowls will play on but thought he was interested in the coaching job? Agree he was terrific yesterday in the coal face. Looking forward to his match up with Tim Kelly next week. Last time around was nothing short of captivating.

Harding said after the game last time that it was unfair on Crowls with the match up as despite the good job early his body cant run with someone like Kelly all day so it might be a job for someone else this week.

If Riggio has re-signed for Swans next year it opens the possibility of Ryan Davis returning to the black and whites in 2018.

club unsure on Davo plans as may return to Sydney or play somewhere else on East Coast.

Would it be a silly suggestion to bring someone in from the ressies with the explosive pace to be able to stay with Kelly -like Slater? Even though he failed to lay a tackle in the ressies he might have the speed to stay with him. Give him one job and one job only = stay with Kelly and after all he will lead him to the footy anyway and if he gains confidence can gain valuable metres for the side. When a rotational break is required Crowley can go to him for short bursts

Kelly Slater, prefer to watch him surfing then consider a match-up.
Slater spends his games running along the boundary line.
Would give Blight a crack and hope he doesnt give away too many free kicks

Some observations from watching the match. WP threatened to blow the game open with pace. I think Swans should perhaps play Bennell on a wing or Ugle for some skill and run. Ugle looks a bit vulnerable deep in defence perhaps he would be better up the ground. Clutterbuck got back to some form of five years ago good for him.

Bennell - knee is shot
Ugle - unless he played on Strijk the options were a 2nd gamer or a 3rd gamer.

I'll actually be quite surprised if Crowley pulls up ok by next Sunday to have another crack at it.
