NO question we were pretty ordinary for most of the match. However, at that stage we well and truly in the match. There were some disappointing performances from some of our players today but again to put it into perspective have a look at our 2016 season. Personally I am not sure having 7 changes to the team last week was the best idea; but not including Ellard I suspect there will be 3 or 4 players at least that played n our league team that might be playing earlier next Saturday. Similarly there are three field umpires from our game that should also be umpiring in a n earlier time slot next Saturday.

Unfortunately 42 it is those like yourself who are just happy to have slightly improved on last year and not push ourselves to become the best in the comp are a part of the reason why we have been mediocre for virtually the last 25 years bar the Dawson reign. DW is on the money in regards to getting someone in to challenge this group to want to go to another level we havent been at for far too long instead of just meandering along like we have for most of the last 25 years!

Yes ...his name starts with a "W" ...the 3rd qtr umpiring was atrocious with blatant ego tripping from ump in question. His calls v Crowley were obnoxious and not in the realm of the rule book...like I said ego tripping...when you notice the umpire admiring his own work you know there is a problem...having said that umpiring is not why we lost today but clearly that fella has it in for some players at SD, not necessarily the club itself

That is why the decision and 50m penalty was so reprehensible. As I said in the context of what wasn't paid to Cary there was no way the free should have been paid. Secondly, how many deliberate out-of-bounds were paid today?

It constantly amazes me how full forwards are allowed to be scragged and held by defenders. Pay those kicks and we might start seeing some higher scoring free flowing footy that we all desire. Being held without ball in hand is being held illegally so pay the bloody kick.

Your ginger wine drinking buddy was getting them paid to himself up the other end DW including a very charitable 50m to boot...I still stand by my call on the umpires affliction with Black & White colours/jumper from a while back!

I read with interest on Twitter that Worobec has been previously investigated at country level for cheating, not sure how true this is
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

It wouldn't be so bad but it is the norm. When we played Claremont a couple of seasons ago we received one free kick forward of the centre (it was about 51-52m out) in the 32nd minute of the LAST quarter.

We also got smashed out f the centre time and time again in the crucial 3rd quarter.

you bogans really amuse me especially you 42 carrying on every week about the umpies....Subi got 12 free kicks today compared to WP 22 and still won the game comfortably...blaming the umpires is a cop out.

BC you are entitled to your opinion of course. By the way please remind me what was the free kick count in last year's GF.

The 3rd quarter was an absolute disgrace, they might as well have not been out there. Nobody went anywhere near Bolton all day, Busher dominated the back half. Too many players in the Swans team who didn't want to compete. Claremont were under no pressure all day. I don't know where we go from here, certainly not past week one of the finals. The Tigers would be busting their gut to give West Perth a pasting next week. Then if as expected Subiaco beat East Perth, Claremont will be back at Bassendean in 2 weeks full of confidence and ready to have a crack at the teams above them.
What can Harding do now? Well he will have Riggio back next week but may lose Ellard who has been reported. Ames looks like he may be gone too. He did his best at 3 quarter time with an expletive laden rant but the damage had already been done.

Quite a remarkable stat Mike even more remarkable is CL also had more tackles than us despite the incredible discrepancy in possessions!

Well you have an opportunity to try to improve Swans by nominating for a position on the board. I believe the nominations close this week.

It must be a prerequisite that you do not actually have to attend Swans games 42 which would rule me ineligible...as an aside how have you rated Crowley season?

You asked the question; you answer it. If you think we lost the game today because of Crowley you fair dinkum know nothing about footy. Perhaps you might rate the entire squad.

Yes another umpiring debacle at Leederville. Honestly it's killing me. I lost count but I think the garlic munchers had five 50 metre penalties paid to them as well, to subi's nil
