Its really sad DW. The season up to about 4 or 5 weeks ago had been such a positive one after last years debacle but they have totally lost their way recently. I think the players have stopped listening to Harding as they know he is not there next year. That 3 quarter time address was actually painful to listen to as you knew that everything else he had tried with them had failed. There was one team out there today that thought they were just playing with pride for their jumper. And they did that magnificently . As their reward for that thanks to other results they now have now more than a possibility of sneaking into 5th spot.

After my comments during the week re coach for next year I will add this. You know the coach has lost his players when he resorts to a bombardment of F & C bombs trying to stimulate some effort. The young kids around the huddle in front of me were suitably impressed by Stiffy's potty mouth and I'm sure will assume this language standard is how real men talk. Funny enough I was just discussing with my work crew yesterday how futile bosses abusing and swearing at staff is in today's world just doesn't work or motivate. Today I saw that applying to footy coaches too. The lack of standards of decency at the footy club I love never cease to amaze me and the players tend to react accordingly. Time for a massive rethink on what our club deems acceptable, both on and off the field. Need to ask ourselves how we wish to represent. Disgusted by more than just the selfish footy today :-(

DW perhaps you could give a precis of how the seven ins performed today and who should come in to the team for next week and who they should replace. Obviously Riggio is one of the ins.

I missed the ressies today so hard to judge players in form after missing last week's match v EP as well due to work commitments. My comments relate to the whole club. To me it feels like we have quickly got ahead of ourselves after season 2016's results. The bitching and moaning among players is what concerns me most. Blame culture does not win flags. Subiaco for instance doesn't look for excuses, they look for solutions. I think Harding has tried hard but this group are no longer all in with him as could be expected when a coach calls time. This however does not excuse the language he used at the 3/4 break today. I hope he doesn't speak to his family and loved ones this way. Just because it's footy it doesn't give you the excuse to drop 30 odd C bombs in 2 minutes in front of kids, supporters and players alike.

The 3rd quarter was an absolute disgrace, they might as well have not been out there. Nobody went anywhere near Bolton all day, Busher dominated the back half. Too many players in the Swans team who didn't want to compete. Claremont were under no pressure all day. I don't know where we go from here, certainly not past week one of the finals. The Tigers would be busting their gut to give West Perth a pasting next week. Then if as expected Subiaco beat East Perth, Claremont will be back at Bassendean in 2 weeks full of confidence and ready to have a crack at the teams above them.
What can Harding do now? Well he will have Riggio back next week but may lose Ellard who has been reported. Ames looks like he may be gone too. He did his best at 3 quarter time with an expletive laden rant but the damage had already been done.

Might be a blessing if we missed out as we are imposters atm and wont figure in the last weekend anyway as we are streets away from the quality sides, so whats the point? Would rather not waste my time or $ plus the comp is a farce with the Salary cheats complete dominance and alignments regardless of Perths miracle today which actually exposes what a bigger farce it is losing to Perth who have been in dissarray
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

We are all deluded if we think we are a remote sniff to do anything for the rest of 2017

SD using that rationale we might as well not bother ever again.
