Don't take this the wrong way guys because I do think this is a reasonable discussion but I started this thread to talk about Swans not Subiaco. There is similar topic on the Subiaco board where you can debate their recruiting strategies.

By my reckoning we have 8 or 9 "new recruits" but we have also lost double that number who played Senior footy last year.

Yes agreed mike bring it over to our board by all means. I will say this though, La Hincha brought this issue up months ago, even out the zones or we will all be farked...and surprise surprise look whats happening. I will leave it at that apart from one question to swan42 and Southerner - would you be willing to swap zones with us if we stop "poaching" as you put it?

No floggings on this site southy...it's all on field floggings for now...What's important to remember in all this conversation Southy is Subi are f...ed financially moving forwards to 2 years time...hope the WAFL comp lasts long enough to see their recent strategy fall flat on its face albeit hoping they don't take the carrot and merge. My gut feeling is they will be the first to merge after the figures I had explained the other day...anything for success hey???

Let's hope for a good season lads with a few surprises in store...I'm looking forward to a SD revival, bought my season pass membership today and gonna support the shit out of my club this year especially against Subi...hope you all are doing the same. WAFL footy needs us to maintain our passion...shite I'll even give it to that lot on here from Subi, they too love their WAFL and are making hay whilst the sun shines, well all except for that 'new bloke' Heater ...really not sure about him

Apologies to mikeh for the thread hijacking...been hell busy all day....back to footy talk hey lads

So opinions on Taryce Stewart from the SD mob...got a good feeling about this kid, looks like he has the goods

He is undoubtedly talented; it will be a matter of tempering some of his brilliance occasionally to pass to a team mate in a better position. That is only just a matter of experience. Should prove to be a good foil for the likes of Cary etc From what I saw on Saturday I think there is some cause for hope that we will improve from last season. What we need are some wins early in the season to boost the boys' confidence.
