BC...the abuse crew use the term abuse in place of blatant swearing after the club insisted the language got cleaned up or they'd have to go...those blokes whilst feral at least show some decency and refrain from using terms such as effen maggot c...ts relentlessly like the mob in the Macca stand today. Embarrassed for my club today...no excuse in front of kids to vent in this manner

Was it one of the "abuse crew" that exposed himself to a female in the Swan Districts members area a few years ago? I vaguely remember the incident being discussed ether here or on FootyGoss.

First time I've heard that one TOS but if true I hope the culprit was ejected for life and that it became a police matter. The irony of the poor antics of some of our supporters today is that they expect the umpires to maintain perfect standards yet revel in their own poor standards of decency. We all occasionally have a blip or 2 when it comes to umpiring but when the abuse is relentless and personal over an entire afternoon's footy one has to question the motives of these sad individuals.

Not sure what issue these idiots could possibly have with the umpires, Swans have won the free kick count 4 out of 6 rounds by a huge margin on occasion. 20 to 9 against Peel and 22 to 13 against Subiaco. The umpires clearly love the Ducks.

How has our game thread been derailed AGAIN this time on umpiring???

We should be discussing the atrocious skill level, decision making, work rate and body language that has been evident across the senior squad since the season started.
The other thing that maybe a thread should be dedicated to is the mounting injury/absentee toll at the club at the moment which is the worst I can remember in 36 years following us. Yesterday missing from the Senior squad were off the top of my head- Kirkup, Blight, Nuich, Newman, C.Daniels, Blakely, Anderson, Kohlmann, Taylor, Cranenburgh, Hodge, Power, Cary and I may have missed some and then Ugle & J.Daniels were injured yesterday to only add to the list plus also we have talented juniors Nelson & Ridley playing at C3 Ammos level. We all understand footy is a contact sport hence some of the injuries but to have nearly a third of your ranks currently not playing for whatever reason only 6 games in some serious questions have to be asked???

So Nelson and Ridley earned themselves a promotion from Swan Districts to C3 Ammos

My fault possibly for derailing this thread BH but in truth I was more disgusted yesterday by the behaviour of some of our fan base than by the lacklustre effort produced by our players and that is saying something after what we displayed out there yesterday. As for the injury toll the statement by Mad Dog regarding body size is most likely factual and a good indicator whilst I will add that it also may be a consequence of our high ability to turn the ball over and put our players on the back foot and in ackward situations trying to win the football back. Kirk Ugle injured himself yesterday in a ridiculous attempt to spoil/mark after we were caught out of position in defence after yet another lazy turnover upfield. As for serious questions that need asking there does seem to be something on the nose around the place....the vibe don't feel quite right. How we pick ourselves up as a team from here until season's end will be a strong indicator as to how good our coach is and whether he's the right man for the job moving forward. In football terms it doesn't get much uglier than where we are at right now as a team. How to get confidence back in to this team is Harding's big challenge right now.

We went through this injury curse shit 2 or 3 years ago , lost a player or 2 every week & doesn't give you any chance of fielding the same side the next week , let alone any continuity & confidence

The coach would be continually plugging holes & adapting the structure to absorb the loss of best players

But the skills thing is definitely something to be hammered out during the week , I reckon it's a Mindset thing too , because you might be losing games you tend to hold back a bit to lessen the risk rather than relax and follow through

And yeah having new players to the club takes time to get right

Gees you must have been disgusted with those kids up in the Macca Stand then mate as the effort on the park was nothing short of deplorable and not for the first time this year unfortunately so bad in fact I contemplated leaving early for the first time I can remember and it wasnt the fact we were completely out of the contest on the scoreboard as we were only a few goals behind but just the continual appalling mistakes and lack of effort from certain players that continue to happen week after week and why we would take key players off at crucial/critical times of games to appease playing time/minutes ...long time members/supporters deserve a helluva lot better than the current!

Agreed, I'll say this out loud so I can get it off my chest....quite possibly yesterday is the worst Swans league team I've ever witnessed play. Not a lot of heart on the park which flies in the face of everything our club has ever stood for. This not a team right now that even the "utter brilliance/ could be best player in the comp" the one and only Murray Newman would even make the slightest of difference too.

Ahh yes the elephant in the room ...I wont even bother with him and just stick to those still running around in Black & White over longer than a qtr!
I dont like naming names but a few yesterday wearing numbers less than 9 (not Alby either) should hang there heads in shame and embarrassment and their inexcusable lack of effort after they had fumbled or made a mistake standing their with hands on hips whilst the opposition waltz the ball away is not even worthy of Auskick level let alone WAFL League level and definitely not the required level I have grown to expect when you pull on that Black & White jumper at 2pm on a Saturday ...this is coming from a very very disappointed loyal Swans man!

which is why I say it's a cultural thing DW...but at least you acknowledge the problem.

I was wandering around the ground a fair bit in the sunshine today and I noticed there were a few security guys who were standing near the boundary line. I wonder if it would be in their job description to eject anyone who is acting in an anti social manner like swearing in an area near children?

I had a chat with one of the security guys last week and this guy was a few can short and couldn't string two sentences together..much like Twuckies from York!
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

I feel your pain mate. Maybe we've been spoilt over the years with regards to our players always having a crack even when we can see we are short on talent. Very un-Swanslike performance yesterday.

On a brighter note was great to see an ex teammates young son Brody Sutton tearing it up in reserves yesterday. Announced himself with a 5 goal 4 behind performance that could have easily been 7-8 goals if he'd kicked as well as his old man used to in front of the sticks ;) . Wins the ball one-on-one or to advantage on most occasions and must be getting close to a league birth after 3 goals the previous week.
