The alignment was a factor but also a desire to change the environment after a season of poor form caused by injury.

It was not one factor but a few with the alignment being ultimate decider, I think!

The alignment will continue to push players to other clubs no question about that. In general terms I think teams would be better sticking with their own colts. I think Shannahan may prove a good get for Claremont however. I believe some off field discipline issues may have soured the relationship to some extent in Fred's case.

Swanpuppy I am not in denial, I am pleased and saddened for Freddie and hope he does well for the SDFC.

I am pleased that he can go to your club and be accepted and chose swans over a couple of other clubs, I am saddened due to having known him since he played colts and seen the efforts he put in that it arrived at this point.

As I said I was just relaying what I was told by a couple of his friends and as always hearsay may be not quite as accurate as it can be.
