Just learned that Steve Bazzo passed away earlier today. Steve played 158 games with Swan Districts between 1988-95, before transferring to West Perth and Peel Thunder.
Steve had the rare privilege of being a Life Member of two clubs, Swan Districts and Peel. He was a hell of a nice bloke and its tragic to see him pass away at the age of 45.

jeez...thats terrible news for someone so young...i didn't know him but he was a pretty decent player from memory. condolensces to his family.

Very sad news, condolences to wife Kylie and children. He was a dashing footballer with unmistakable flowing locks, 45 is scarily young :( R.I.P. To a former WAFL Star

Yeh mate 229 games life member of SD and Peel, a real dasher in the number 1 for SD and 7 for Peel, cant remember what number he wore at WP

Sad to hear that for both his family and the great club he played for. A little like the sad passing of Greg Brehaut. Similar age, life member. Being 44 myself reminds one to be as happy as you can.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!
