So fundamentally wrong it is a joke. Whatever you do don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. Did Dayle Garlett express any desire to come back to Swans?

he didnt want to come back Barney, the club would have taken him back if he was willing to commit to the club on and off the field as everyone else on the list had to.
best to keep your powder dry unless you know the full story.

If he didn't want to come back why did he send his manager to Swans to organise a return.

and Swans were willing to have him play if he committed on and off the field as every other player does, he elected not to take up that option.

So it was too hard to look after the kid and you took the $38K and forgot him. Could have easily at least started him on a program or set him up with some support wether he was playing for you guys or not. Instead you turned your back and made it someone elses problem.
