Never seen sharks kick that much in a last quarter,

swans fought hard but they just ran out of petrol at the end.

Overall they should be proud of themselves at the start of the season swans were meant to finish last and they finish 4th and I expect big things next season for swans.

Well done to East Freo, the last qtr was coming as we didn't have the mids to run all day in those heavy conditions and we didn't make the most of the cyclone in the 3rd.
Notte on 1 leg in the 2nd left us nobody tall to go back and help out and no Ames meant we got caught out in the air.

Giving away 6-7 goals from free kicks doesn't help either, blokes shouldn't get sucked in to the duckers and divers.

I am absolutely shattered. I thought we had it at 3 quarter time. Three quarters of exciting dominant team footy which was reminiscent of the way they played in the first half of the season. But the boys seemed to have nothing left in the tank in the last quarter and when the storm hit the game was as good as over. I thought the Sharks did very well to slow us down in the 3rd when we were threatening to run away with the game, but I thought 5 goals would be enough. As it turned out it wasn't. This loss will hopefully burn in the guts of the players over summer and provide some motivation next season.

Good luck to the Sharks for next weeks preliminary final......

Also well done to the colts boys for making the GF.

Too good in the end is right....could complain about the 5 or 6 50mtr penalties that resulted in goals but that would be letting our guys off the hook for poor discipline...will say that bald umpire is a disgrace to his profession where as the other 2 blokes were ok considering the other bloke they were working with..as for why we lost I'm going to go out on a limb here, a very short one mind you and say we were thoroughly out coached, especially in the 3rd qtr where EF conserved their energy well which set them up for that last quarter onslaught against a team that had spent their pennies much earlier. As uplifting as the 3qtr break speech might have seemed to some my thoughts were it lacked a feel for the game and tactically offered nothing. A 5 goal lead is nothing down at Shark Park when the home team is kicking with a strong wind to that end. Have seen it too many times over the years in the highlight reels. We got monstered in 15mins of footy and I noticed barely a thing coming out of the coaches box until Swoop ran down in to defence off the bench as a spare man. At that stage the five goal lead was gone. Maybe there is some credence to the murmurs I've been hearing that the reason Swans second half of the season tapered off so poorly is because after such a bright and unexpected start from this group Harding thought "shit we might have a chance here" and actually started trying to coach the boys, hence the spectacular fall from grace over the past couple of months. Harsh I know but apart from a last qtr comeback against the lowly Demons I can't actually remember the last game we one. A drawn out disappointing end to what was all up a much better than expected season from this team. Coach gets another year but I'm no longer as sold as I was 12 weeks ago. 6/10 for me.

Congrats to Trent and the colts on making the GF in the early game. Good luck in the big dance fellas.

We really missed Tallen in that last quarter. The team needed the strength and leadership he provides. They still might not have won the game but I don't think East Fremantle would have got so many easy goals in the last quarter if he had been there.

Yeah what miraculous coaching to let the Swans think they had it with 30 points in the last quarter and back in a rollover in the final term. Geez you are a tool of the highest order, a muppet if you will! Go grab yourself another Export.
