This Sunday sees Swan Districts face East Fremantle 90 years to the day since their debut game in 1934. Players will be wearing replica 1934 jumpers and the shorts will have no sponsorship or advertising for this one match.
I had hoped it would be on tv, but 7 have will be showing a delayed telecast of the Brisbane v West Coast match instead. It should be a good game with both sides desperate to get another win on the board. Another fine day with 26 degrees forecast will hopefully mean a decent crowd attends. Swans will also commemorate ANZAC Day before the match.

Hopefully the Current day Swans players will be inspired to play at their very best in front of all the Swans legends. Whether it will be enough to beat the reigning premiers remains to be seen but as long as they don't leave anything out there I will be OK with that.

Looks like Pasini back from last week, they are going with Blakely and GM in the ruck again. One guy who was a regular last year is Anthony Stephens but is not in either league or reserves tomorrow (injured perhaps?)  East Freo have Eardley back who always plays well against us, they have quite a few missing though and its probably not a bad time to be playing them.
No sign of Stack yet in the ressies, I wonder if they are holding him out until his court case which I believe is not too far away
Hopefully the motivation of playing in front of so many legends can get us over the line

Was told by one of your supporters last week he hasn't been seen for 3 weeks and before that turned up 20 minutes late for a scratch match. Thanks for the 15k.

I don’t want to say I told you so but it was inevitable.

I thought Swans were very adventurous dealing with Stack - let's see what unfolds.

Apparently the Sharks are placed at a dollar and 88c for the win. Whilst Swans are said to be sitting on 2 $ & 85c which I thought strange. My tips for this week were for all the Home teams to be winning. Hopefully Swans can deliver the goods and give us one out of three? They almost got over the line in round 3. Then sat out the bye last week and should be as fresh as a daisy day for this match.

Their goes 2024 for Swans.
Good effort today.Just fell painfully short in the last couple of minutes.
Have some good targets up fwd.But clear instructions not to bomb the ball to a contest.Only hit leading targets.
Just means we win the statistics by close to 100 again but lose the match by less than a goal.As we chip the ball around waiting to hit a target.
Was a decent tempo game.Only spoiled by some more than average umpiring. That may of got the hairs on the backs of the Shark players up,late in the last.

2024 certainly isn't done for SD mate, the comp is pretty close points wise. Happy to admit EF got lucky there, but showed some character, to manufacture a win out of nothing in the last 10 mins with 3 goals....with one of them being very dodgy.

Like to give a big shout out to Southy and his Lou Richards kiss of death post yesterday......definitely helped get EF over the line.....or was it that Nicky Winmar autobiography I started reading in the last 10 mins, thinking SD were home and hosed?

Massive choke by Swans. They got themselves into a winning position half way through the last quarter and then seemed to stop pushing for more goals and invited the pressure of a close finish which East Fremantle took advantage of like a good team would. O'Donohue is a better player than he showed today and I suppose he was under coaches instructions but there were times I thought he was playing for the opposition with his continual infringing of Murdoch which cost us a goal or two at least and then his panicked kick out of the pack straight to the Sharks player in the dying seconds when a tap towards the boundary or back into a pack would have been a safer option.
These close losses are NOT bad luck, they are a product of a team that does not know what to do in these situations and makes poor decisions in pressure moments.
I am now convinced that Swans will never achieve anything with this current coach at the helm.
