To be honest Mike it probably cuts a bit both ways. Guys like Banfield, Wilson, Meek and co who are on the edge of Freo selection might not want to get hurt so could hold back a bit. As you say, who knows but with a bit of rain forecast, Swans could be a good thing...let's hope so anyway as the thought of FART winning another tainted flag makes me want to puke when you consider how they were travelling before the alignment.

I thought the same back in 2016 and 2017 Mike but what we all tend to forget is that the Freo guys playing for Peel spend roughly 40 plus hours a week together at the club and even more if they socialise so there is a bond between them meaning it's not only just a group of individuals drawn from all over the place playing for their futures. A lot of them become life long mates which means something when you cross the white line.


 

Taberner is playing for Peelmantle if he gets through training.

If Freo lose Saturday, will Peelmantle be restricted to 12 listed players Sunday? And would they risk an injury prone Taberner on Sunday?

I wouldn't worry too much about that if I were Swans as the chances of him making it to half time are pretty slim.  He might break a nail or stub his toe and next thing you know, Gonski for the rest of the year.

My understanding is that they're allowed to have as many as they want during the season but their cap is 
11 for finals.  They have had to have played a certain number of games in the last 8 games of the season to 
qualify.

That is closer to an acceptable amount of Dockers for H & A games. For me the majority of the Peel team should be Peel players so 10 Dockers should be the cap during the season week in week out.

I tallied up 13 in their final team but they may get another 2 emergencies from the Dockers. Added to this Swans have lost Tobe Watson. We are facing a mountainous task and if we can pull this off it will be  a great victory

Actually there are 14 Freo listed players named for Peel's League team tomorrow Mike, plus 3 in the Reserves!

don't discount another couple of parachuters dropping in on match day either
