This week we head South to Freo to take on the Bulldogs at home in what is always a tough road trip.
SF's side will be stronger than last time we played with the likes of Schlensog, Suban, Main missing that day.
For us hopefully we have the likes of Fisher, Jones, Ireland, Beck & Ehlers available? whilst Palmer went down early in the Perth game and Germs hurt late so interesting to see if they both come up for this week also?

Should be a cracking game at the port this Saturday.

I'll be interested if Bayok maintains his place. Last year or the year before  - I can't remember - Bayok's pace troubled South's squeaky clean movement of the ball from bounce downs. He didn't do much else - and one doesn't get a stat for pressuring opponents that result in a turn over - but that what he did. I cannot wait for when his thought processes and body actions become coordinated - they are all over the shop at the moment that is typical for some young men. Those that saw last week's match - did he do enough to keep his spot despite others coming in?

Apparently had 18 or 19 ball disposals last game. Which is a good day at the office. Fairly certain got himself on the goal kicking list with 1.
Been in the reserves mainly this season and my understanding is he's getting plenty of ball possessions.

Probably his best game at Swans SH especially the 2nd half.

Germs is out until the last round at this stage, was feared he’d done his acl but got the all clear on that. Anyone know the extent of Palmers injury? Fisher would be 50/50, Jones and Ireland will return, not sure of any others. Be good if someone, or the club, could compile an injury list and keep us informed as there’d be others like Waite etc that we aren’t aware of their whereabouts.

On Bayok, imo he looked a fair way off the pace at times last week and is just not a natural footballer, I’d much rather see Ottaviano hold his place as he seems more assured of himself and consistently puts his head over the ball - he also laid 12 tackles.

The clubs injury list is a bit out of date so have tried to provide an update.
From our senior list missing last week-

Waite (was the runner the last 2 games but hasnt played all year)
Anderson (knee season)
Fisher (Injured against Subi)
Ireland (Illness)
Jones (Illness)
Spackman (Knee Reco in May 2021)
E.Hewett (WA 18s)
Ugle
Sideris
J.Watson (SB)
Ralph
Ehlers
D.Jones (WA 18s)
Cox
Babich
Beck (Injured against Subi)
Cartwright
Saylor

A number of those have missed most of the season, and then add from Perth game-

Germs
Palmer

Swans 5 losses this season have been by a combined margin of 47 points. If we could have snatched 2 of these we would be looking at a 10 win 3 loss record and an entirely different scenario. As it stands now though Swans face an absolute must win game against East Perth on Saturday. After this encounter our last five games include tough away fixtures against Claremont, East Fremantle and Peel as well as home games against West Perth and the Eagles. Of those West Coast would be the only game that you would be confident of a win so defeat at home to the Royals would see us slip out of the top 5 with a heck of a job to get back in.

Yet another tough close loss.
We had our chances but unfortunately connect either convert or hit up our forwards in that frenetic last stanza, although having said that Fisher should have received a 50m penalty in the last 30 seconds that would have taken him to the goalsquare after marking 60m out.
We gave up a goal in the 2nd, 3rd & 4th qtrs either just before or after the siren which is a cardinal sin in football and ultimately proved costly!
