That’s right Mike. Their was a slight breeze favouring that end early in the game, but in the second half no noticeable breeze. Very slippery conditions. Swans looked fit & fast all day until the last, I think they just ran out of steam.

Yes Swans started the match in fine style. It appears Swans just ran out of puff in the final term.
The three quarter time lead the black and whites enjoyed, unravelled quickly. In the final term Subi piled on 34 points to Swans zero score.

Well that was a disappointing last 15 minutes of the game in which to that stage we had outplayed Subiaco for the most part.
A very very soft free kick paid to Borchet in the goal square halfway through the last qtr changed the whole momentum of the game as our defence had held them out until then and then the experienced likes of Kitchin, Delahunty, Marsh, Giro & co took charge and surged the ball forward from the middle, locking the ball in their forward half and scoring opportunities came one after the other.
5 rounds in now and we are 2-3 and depending on your view of the world we are in equal last position in the League (7th), last in the Reserves (9th) and equal last in the Colts (8th) and unless we turn this around very quickly this season starting this week against another side we have not beaten for years 2022 will be another one down the gurgler and questions have to be asked of those responsible why as the club were very bold in making the statement they expect to be Top 3 in all 3 grades!!!???
