We are back at home albeit at 12.40 instead of the usual 2.30 timeslot this week against Subi who are coming off the bye and had 2 weeks to stew over there loss to Claremont in Round 1.
Claremont of course also rolled us last weekend at Claremont Oval.
Not sure if we had any injury concerns stem from last Saturday but we would need all hands on deck to even get close to Subi you would think.
It looks like Waite will be out injured for a while, Beck missed last week also so he could be an outside chance to come back in this week whilst Hampson will be close after 3 weeks with his hammy or do we just give him the extra week with the bye next week before playing SF in Round 5?
The Reserves played pretty well last week against CL and were unlucky to lose but that is another story. A few boys put their hand up for League selection that is for sure and we need for that to continue if we are going to be able to build the depth that the top 3 or 4 teams have.

SS as per usual we will roll out the red carpet for you Subi blokes on Saturday at Basso.
At a guess without checking on www.waflfootyfacts.net first I dont reckon we have beaten you at Basso or anywhere for that matter since at least 2015.
Hopefully we can take it up to you lot for a change but we would need to play 4 strong qtrs of footy for that to happen and I cant remember the last time we actually did that?

BH I recall a great Swans win in appalling weather. By about 1 point I think? Geez, was that 2015...! Time is going too fast.

Yes that was the one Singha. I remember it was blowing a hurricane down to the Guildford end in which you blokes were kicking with in the last qtr but somehow we hung on. Hopefully we can at least take it up to you guys for a change this week?!

I remember you blokes were 4 goals in front just before 3/4 time at Basso last year when we kicked one just before the siren. We went on to kick 5 more in the last and you blokes only a couple of behinds and we pinched it. I remember that game as it was a lucky escape and Jack Mayo's debut before getting picked up by the Saints in the mid-year draft.

STT, all I know is what Pickering bewilderingly said on 91.3, that the league game was a curtain raiser for the women’s game. I imagine he was being sarcastic but it didn’t sound like it. To quote a favourite song “Mad house all topsy turvy
A ship of fools with scurvy
I don't like a thing about the way we live”

I was on the understanding the women's match had a start time of ¼ past three. Hence the reason for the early bounce-down for the league match.
