Looking for something to watch and I watched the 2010 GF.

I always thought that the 1996 GF which we lost was one of the best but that 2010 one is the best football game of all time WAFL or AFL.

Both sides were great but Krakouer and Coniglio along with other were just awesome and that is not taking much away from the Tigers, it was grit with a tinge of class against skill and teamwork.

Just watched the game ove Easter Grump.Didn't realize or remember Swans going out to a 19 point lead in the 3rd qtr.Claremont pegged that lead back quickly. Didn't remember Ryan Turnbull as a commentator.Very good along with Phil Lamb and Glenn Mitchell. And Todd Ridley lol.

Turnbull was good. I always thought he would make a good coach but he never ventured down that path. Mitchell was and is always good, Lamb not bad, Ridley a joke.

Has Ridley swum to Sweden and back yet?

Reasonable footballer but bloody ordinary at special comments!

Cesspit -Ridley said before the game if Claremont loses today {I will swim too somewhere} thousands of kms away.Was impressed by Turnbulls special comments and his knowledge. Surprised he didn't fit in at the Eagles somewhere.

Couldn't remember where he was planning that swim BH,Sweden .

At midnight on the night of the 2010 Grand Final I arrived home a bit tipsy you might say. I couldnt face going to bed so I sat down and wrote the story of what I heard, saw and felt on that day. I thought that it might be good to share with Swans supporters to see if any of it resonated and how your memories compared with this.
I will probably need to put it out in instalments over the next few days as it is quite lengthy and I have blotted out the names of people that I interacted with during the day in order to protect their identity.

Its not a literary masterpiece but it was written with all the excitement you would expect when your team has won a flag less than 12 hours before. I was also half cut when I wrote it although that might have improved it.

First installment coming soon.....

What a night that was celebrating back at Basso afterwards it was packed to the rafters and the clubsong sung by all there with gusto!
