Good to see the Scorchers get to the finals. But never really looked like they where going for the hattrick on BBL titles.
Turner lost to injury
Evans and Crawley off to a cashed up IPL subsiduary..
Agar performing like a broken wheel.Off to the Hurricanes or Renegades or Thunder.
Think we should look again at Stoines. He wasnt invested in the Stars this season.
It's been a great BBL for English imports.
A leg spinner is a must for BBL XV.

Here is an XI of WA based players who were contracted with other franchises this season

Phillipe (Sixers)
Short (Strikers)
Bancroft (Thunder)
S.Marsh ( Renegades)
Cartwright (Stars)
Stoinis (Stars)
David (Hurricanes)
Coulter-Nile (Stars)
Paris ( Hurricanes)
Hatzaglou (Hurricanes)
Guthrie (Hurricanes)

A few of these guys played for the Scorchers before but left or were delisted. May be worth trying to lure a few of them back, David, Phillipe and Cartwright would be the ones I would look at particularly.

Well done to Brisbane Heat, they were clearly the best team this season and apart from a hiccup in the Qualifying final, they were very consistent. Josh Brown scored an amazing century in the Adelaide match to set them up ( reminded me a lot of the way Craig Simmons batted) but it was their bowling attack that set them apart from everyone else. Neser, Bartlett, Johnson, Kuenemann and Swepson were very hard to score big totals against.

Amazing catch by Neser and tall Paul on the boundry. It was just the Heats day in the final.
Sixers where a little bit off in the field.
Spencer Johnson was 0/11 off 4 balls. Then ripped the Sixers middle order apart. The left arm replacement for Starc.

Well deserved BBL victors were The Heat. The Sixers never looked likely with the bat. Brown is very much of the Simmons ilk, I guess that is the beauty of this format. To short a format to truly ask questions of one's technique. Great to see Johnson pick up a 4 for to with the MOTM. ....surely the Aust T20 squad for the WI games, could of been picked after the final.....
