Ive heard little about our supporters for this coming season - or is just me?

Im wondering what the club is doing to enthuse greater local support - bums on seats - rejuvenating the lost souls - enthusing the new souls - past players involvement.... and just generally getting the voices & bodies to supply the players with the cheers & banter needed for a team to lift and if needed, be reminded they have something to strive for and to be proud about - not just the jumper, but for the supporters in the stands and around the ground.

Yes I know that much will be made of the application on the ground by the team, coaches and the players, and yes that WINNERS are GRINNERS.. that goes unsaid
Still - new doors opening need people to walk through them !!?

Thoughts....

Well the turn out to the practice games has been small and the club has been trying to sign up members and renew memberships from this turn out. But really that is preaching to the converted. I don't think much is being done to drum up genuine new support so numbers are slowly dwindling away as the years go by. Really we are down to the diehards. This is not a critism because I don't know what else the club can do really.

Yes, I managed to go to one of the scratchies and thought for a new season and coach etc the interest might have been a little higher.

The club could do more to engage the locals going into the season proper, especially groups etc
I know other clubs have attacked the schools etc with free entry tickets.
Stalls at shopping centres aren't that expensive - just needs volunteers to man them.

Free tickets to retirement villages - a seniors day maybe?

The marketing has to be continual/daily/weekly and diverse - as with the advertising needing to be out of the box.
The grounds and entry should be friendly to the pocket.
Loss of Rev at the gate will be made up with spend at the ground.
Social Media need to be smacked heavily - daily Facebook rants / pics / Instagram chats / pods etc
We are in the world of 'media excess' now and post popularity - As bad as it is - look what this has done for Trump..
Just me thinking and sharing

EF first two games are tough asks v Cl then Subiā€¦.if EF can pull one win out of those first two.... then perhaps a few fans may return. TBH 0/2 is most likely followed by Peel, so might be tough exciting the troops. If EF can be play some competitive and consistent footy this year, climb up the ladder(not hard to do when you finish last the year before) then who knows.....as mentioned before some good young talent down at EF with more to come through next year and the year after....depending on the draft though....
