Ablett is only one member of the panel. There are a number of dedicated and committed East Fremantle people with significant football experience on the panel. Perhaps if there are applicants from interstate given his experience in the VFL and as a AFL talent Development Manager Ablett may bring some knowledge of their respective capability to the process.

Usual stuff from Townsend about East Fremantle however he raises a point about the WAFC having little interest in saving southern corridor clubs. I for one do not share your enthusiasm at all Custodian.

I guess time will tell who gets the EF gig....be interesting to see if they have clear out of on and off field personnel....might need a big broom...perhaps Townsend could loan EF his piss poor excuse of a beard for starters....

The amazing thing about the Towensend's article is that in all the alternatives facing WP he mentions every name except the one they need: 'Joondalup Falcons'

Now there’s a voice of reason. I think people are jumping at shadows. The best committee is a diverse committee. You have to wonder why the WAFC or the AFL would “plant a mole” in the club. Maybe people have been watching too many cop shows?

I can’t see a clearing of off field personnel. From what I read here, I get a feeling that there’s a purple circle or a brotherhood. Maybe Ablett is tasked to break this brotherhood.

Has been involved in lots of youth level football, state football and is well regarded.

Was one of my instructors on my level 2 a few years ago. Has a very good aura about him and I can see most would follow him.

Tis pretty hard to believe, but If he has applied, he could see it as the last roll of the dice. If he could get the Sharks in the finals next year, even 5th place, how good would this look on his resume? Fanciful thought yes, but stranger things happen.
